can i buy a memory card overseas?

i live in australia (PAL Region) and i want to buy a Memory Card from Singapore (which they import from US i think), will the memory card work? btw it would be a 1019 block memory card. also i heard the 251 has Pal and Ntsc locks on them.

Yes you can, and you can have both saves on them
btw make sure you inspect the games before you buy them in singapore, asia is known for selling fake gamecube games which are just printed on blank midi dvd's
