Topic: IGN LIVE Developer Panel

I would provide a link to the video of the interview of the developer panel but it seems like it is now an insider only video.  I may have seen it on another website but i can't seem to find it now.

Anyways the panel has a good disscussion about the next gen, unfortunately the guy from Epic Games keeps on insulting, ingoring, and simply being a jerk when anything regarding Nintendo comes up.

Well just wanna see what people have to say about it.

Oh and for those who may not know IGN LIVE is a new event that is like E3 but for the people, however it does cost some greenage, not a fortune but still.

If anyone went, plz post what it was like.

Yeah I watched it...and heard this nitwit constantly make a fool of himself.  I mean, just really, really dumb.  It got to the point where I was feeling embarrassed for the guy, because he was so obviously clueless about games.  I believe he said "Graphics are the only step forward in next gen consoles that make a difference", or something close to it.  Then his example was" Burnout is so much better than Pole Position, and it's because of graphics."  He literally made this comparison.   If anyone wishes to have their anger boil over, listen to this idiot...he sounds like a kid I used to know...in 8th grade.

i would go back further than 8th grade......however i understand why he thinks Burnout is better than Pole Position, sure Burnout has alot more things going on in Pole Position but really how different are the two?  When he said that i felt he too felt that modern games where basically old games rehased with just new graphics and minor new mechanics and such, but then he disses the Rev, the only system so far that has potential to shake up gaming.

I started chuckling when he kept babling on and on and then went and whipped out an xbox 360 dev console, and then shamelessly promoting everything about it as he could, wow i mean cmon!

Iv lost alot of trusts in american PR people
First konami dissing nintendo, then microsoft live PR person insulting japan and on and on
I guess there crude attitude, goes with the crude ignorant buyers

then he went on to insult the joystic saying it was like the n64 and dreamcasts..that it would hurt your thumbs. Obviously he never played dreamcast..which has like the same joystic as xbox.
Also the controller has rubber pads so your thumbs never hurt....

he is just like a freind of mine..he sounds and looks just like him...they both have the same personality. Sure they are asses...but im sure they are fun to hang around heheh.

Apparently Matt on IGN thought the guy was a little lame too.  In fact Matt is really high on Revolution now, he went as far as to say the other systems will be running super-hot graphics on lame, antiquated controllers.

I'm glad he's going strong with Nintendo, but I still think he was way too harsh on Gamecube, and especially the DS.
