This was just discovered four days ago in this GameShark code forum. All I can say is: This could've been the greatest easter egg in the history of video games. Oh well. ;_;

That's so awesome! Does he mean accessable in the actual game or needed with some lame cheat device? Sometimes I just do weird things on purpose hoping something weird happens, guess I should keep it up!

I wonder if this was maybe part of the starfox code they transfered over to make a enemie out of but it never materialised and they decided to leave it in just like the gta san andreas prostitute pimp out or whatever code it was.

Kinda cool, but this doesn't surprise me.  The original Metroid has entire worlds that where sealed off in the final game.  The only way to find them was do some very weird things...

Well, I finally broke out my GameShark today to try this out!  It's pretty neat.  The AirWings shoot lasers (which take about 3/4 of a heart) and go down in flamey flames with a single hit from the boomerang.  Also interesting is all of the flames that come from a downed AirWing - I figured walking into them would set Link "on fire"... They don't...  Also, interesting enough, the AirWing seems to have it's own opening sequence - in that when you enter the area that the AirWing is in, the camera zooms in and focuses in on it for a few seconds...

It's a neat little thing.  I wonder if there's some hidden level in the game where they're used... Perhaps they gaurd the Triforce.
