Don't they look familiar??? They are for gamecube controllers.........you know the whole backwards compatibility(sp) thing....the other slots are for gamecube mem. cards i would assume.....

Im just assuming this but im guessing you wont have to plug in your wavebird receiver will you nintendo would have used the built in one right.

Actually, the Wavebird doesn't use Wi-fi, it uses another type of wireless signal, so you would still have to plug it in. The new controllers will likely be Wi-fi.

The rectangle under the disk slot is probably where the receiver is for the rev's sontrollers.

No, that's where the memory expansions go. You don't need an opening for RF signals.
