I hate to say it, but you'll have to go through the ebay route, or check Lik-Sang as Darc Requiem suggested. They can charge a little extra knowing there's not a damn thing you can about it. Nintendo did a small redesign in 2004 where the digital and analog outputs are one in the same. Reason? The official line I believe is that not enough games supported this function *points to 3rd parties*. Nintendo published titles are 'guranteed' to continue supporting it however.
Couple the fact that their are no 3rd party component cables, the big N shot itself in the foot with this. I'm claiming ignorance whether or not Nintendo didn't licence out to 3rd parties to make Component cables. You can trip over PS2 and Xbox component cables at any gaming retailer, 1st party ones at that. Nintendo didn't bother distributing them to brick-and-mortar stores, there was no overwhelming demand, and that's that. Even Monster Cables (They're the creme de la creme when it comesto AV cables) makes PS2/Xbox Component cables, and the best they can do with the 'Cube is S-video (which is still damn good BTW, but its the principle of the matter.)
So yeah, if you want to that crisp quality, you're going to have to either wait, or just grit your teeth and ready your Paypal account, or your credit card.
EDIT: Slow posting and checking Lik-Sang makes me realize that there are other options.

With all this ranting, I should do some checking once in a while...
