Topic: Kururin Squash Impressions

Feel free to use this thread to discuss the posted impresssions of the GameCube's exclusive spinning-duck simulator, Kururin Squash.  The sequel to the Japan-only Kururin Paradise (which allowed you to mow lawns using a helicopter, I can't stress this enough), it features many returning characters from the previous games, including Kururin's siblings, the awesome Teacher Hare, and the terrifying Carnies that kidnapped your family in Kururin Paradise.

It also has a villain that looks like a Professor Duck with Doctor Octopus-like arms.

Fine.  The GameCube's exclusive spinning-bird-of-unspecified-species-that-almost-definitely-looks-like-a-duck simulator, Kururin Squash.

In the first Metroid, wasn't the Space Pirate's home planet "Zebeth"?  Besides, SSBM lists it as the Heririn.  So I'm wrong too.

Well, Kururin's name is a play on the Japanese word for "spinning".  The first game was called "Kuru Kuru Kururin", and Kuru, from what I understand, means "spin", or "spinning".  So, (once again guessing here) I'm thinking that the Heririn would also be a play on words of some kind.  I don't know Japanese, so I couldn't say.

Any questions left? The spelling and release status were incorrect in the NTSC version of SSBM, the spelling has been corrected in the PAL version but I think it still says "Japan only".

As the Content Editor for this site, I declare that the official PGC spelling will match the Japanese and US versions which is Heririn.

US versions? Oh, you mean of SSBM. For a moment I thought you talked about some US release of a Kururin game.
