Absolutely nothing...Completely canned or pushed back to the Revolution is my guess...

Considering no information was revealed on it in the first place, I'm thinking no...

Probably didn't turn out well and got canned or absorbed into a larger project.

Was the game ever more than a rumour?

It was listed under future releases on Nintendo's old website under upcoming games. There were also some kind of screenshots of peoples faces. It was a long time ago - back when the N64 was still the current generation system.

I'm thinking, if they ever do decide to make Marionette, it would probably be the type of game that would work better with the Revolution due to the assumed increased interactivity - or at least, I hope so.

It will be on Revolution, if not, then possibly one of the last titles for GC.

I'm guessing it was absorbed into something for revolution.

Im sure it was listed by mistake. It'll be what they call their animation technology or something.
