New Mario Tennis Court
« on: September 09, 2004, 07:47:47 AM »
This is only newsworthy because the court is kickin'-rad.

Included in the deluge of new Nintendo game information in the latest issue of Famitsu Weekly, there is a preview of Mario Tennis. Many of the screenshots included with the preview show off and brand new court for Mario Tennis. The court, titled the Mario Classic Court, is styled after the original Mario Bros. arcade game. The court is littered with baddies wandering all over, and there are pipes hanging all over the place. Words don't really do the court justice, so feast your eyes on this retro Mario Tennis court.

That is pretty cool!  Too bad they haven't reintroduced goomba's back into the 3-D worlds yet (besides M64).  It'd be great to see them in Mario Tennis.  And of course, you need the POW! sign in there.

This is awesome. I love how Nintendo has been bringing back the classics lately. I have a feeling we'll be seeing lots more where that came from.

That's one good example of "classic" that doesn't require a $20 ROM.

strange, I wonder how the gameplay is for that level.  It could end up being awesome or just quite lame depending on how they implement the gameplay.
