VIZ announces Inuyasha anime to end at episode 167

Sad I know.  Inuyasha is one of my favorite shows.

Anime

An interesting tidbit that Toshi brought up was the number of episodes that Inu Yasha will be. He found out from the Japanese producer, that episodes 166 and 167 will be a double episode that ends the TV series.

Well, obviously they'll let everyone die, then decide they need to make more profit and in the next season they'll all get resurrected...

I dunno, I haven't even seen one episode of it. Maybe I should try to find ourt when it airs here (my hunch says 1:00 on MTV, which would mean I won't watch it)

It would be nice if Cartoon Network in Australia would show Inuyasha on Adult Swin, instead of repeating animes shown last year for the millionth time.  O_o

Inuyasha has the same flaw with it that every anime I don't care for has.  It's too freaking slow.  They'll talk, and then go to a village, and talk, and then leave, and then the village is attacked by a demon, so they go back, and talk to the demon, and talk, and talk some more, the demon does something to them, they talk, they somehow avoid the demon's attack, the demon talks, the demon shows his TRUE form, he talks, they talk, he does something else that's slighly more bad to them, Inuyashi shows HIS true form, they talk, they fight, they talk, they fight, Inuyashi wins, they talk.  This delightful series of events (and speeches) occurs over a week's worth of episodes.  You can apply this incredibly dull and boring structure to several other anime series.

Its actually nice to see it end.  To me having so many damn episodes gets too much to me since well we grow so fast.  I wish they would be ready with every episode in the series and show it for like maybe a year and thats it.  Or if they are still creating more 2 years at most.  We grow and unlike Harry Potter books the characters are still the same.  Ash in Pokemon seems to still be 11.  By now he should be 17-18 and more matured.  If they still want the kids then they should give it to new generation characters or different universe characters.

I hope they show some the other Rumiko Takahashi's work on Adult Swim.  She has my favorites in the world of Japanese Animation.  Ranma 1/2 I now for sure is impossible but some others are.  Maisson Ikkokou would be really nice.  Being a guy and all I really love the romance.

You mean we're only at episode 90? I thought we were way farther than that.  But I guess not.

Well only up to 61 has been released on DVD. So that sound fair.
I just watch episode 163, so I know how its probally going to shape up. If you like spoilers PM me.

And 167 episodes isn't that bad a place to end. It ends it before it gets too tedius. And its a little longer than Ranma 1/2 which was written by the same mange author.
Stupidity is lost on my. Then again I'm almost always lost.
