Starfox Adventures was the result of Dinosaur Planet not releasing on N64, being shoved onto the Gamecube, and Nintendo deciding it would be a good idea to shove Starfox characters into it.  The game wasn't great admittedly, but the flying parts were at most tacked on as a afterthought.

I'd rather Rare try something new, rather then try to rehash and fail  (Perfect Dark: Zero anyone?).

I mean it can't be that bad, the impressions from a poster on GAF

Quote
Banjo (slated for November):
- Building vehicles is basically like playing with LEGO. You can always jump in and out of the vehicle editor and come right back to the game with the new design.
- Parts are easily placed and moved around. You don't have to worry about connecting the motor with the wheels for example. Just place everything so they stick together and don't get in the way.
- Vehicle designs can play a large role in missions. We saw one where you had to collect coconuts from a field and got a small truck that could suck them up. Unfortunately you couldn't fit all the coconuts in the truck and had to back and deliver them in a large barrel. We were then shown how you could create a helicopter with a hook, that could pick up this large barrel, fly to the coconut field and fly low to scoop the coconuts in the barrel.
- Physics are awesome in this game and everywhere! With one design I placed the foot-in-a-box weapon behind a propella, and when I tried to use it, the foot/boot couldn't get past the propella... well, until I used it enough times to actually kick the propella off the vehicle!
- Pixel art... imagine the possibilities (Rare already had an example of this, paying homage to a certain plumber)
- Multiplayer is great fun with the ability to either chose from pre-fabricated or own vehicle designs. It still needs some polish here and there, but showed great promise.

along with these final impressions

Did I find it fun? Me and colleague haven't stopped thinking about it since we played it. It was extremely fun being able to create your own vehicles however you wanted it and play around with them. Just that in itself. It works so great! Add balloons and it will start to float. Add wings and you can actually steer in the air and fly around. Add inflatable balls and you won't sink when landing on water. Add a propella and you got propulsion in the water. Everything makes sense and work exactly how you think they will.

Now take that concept into multiplayer...

Seriously has me somewhat excited

I know this is a bit off topic but I'm guessing this game will sell like hotcakes. I just went to my local best buy to reserve it and get a gba link cable but when I got there they said they were sold out.  When I asked if any other stores had it they checked and told me none in the State had ANY left.  Hopefully this is a good sign

Your best bet is to buy Nero Burning rom, it can make great backups for your games.  The price may be a bit steep, but its worth every cent.  It is also very user friendly.

If you don't get your disc tomorrow and you subscribed to Nintendo Power on the 17th you should call.  They shipped all the discs for the subscriptions out on the 20th and said if it doesn't come by the 5th to call up.

You have to Register your Gamecube as well to get the disc, along with two games.  So you need one more game now, you should get Mario and Luigi if you have some extra cash and a GBA/GBA player.  I've heard from many people that the game is worth owning and I'm getting it as well tomorrow

Yay, I bought it last night and it should be here in two weeks.  I finally will be able to enjoy Majora's Mask *I've played every other Zelda game besides that game* and beat all of them.  Speaking of the disc,  I also hope that they have good menu music like for the Wind Waker bonus disc.  I loved that music and used to just leave it looping in my bedroom.

Just get a fricken 251, its only 20 bucks and well worth it, also only get official ones, I keep on hearing about trama stories of how people lost all their F zero GX data and Viewtiful Joe data from data errors and what not.

I've heard that the game is supposed to be like 30 dollars American.  I might get it, my pockets are getting thinner after this last month  *F Zero GX, Soul Calibur* and when I got viewtiful joe last week.  I think its a good idea, I just need more money for all these games.

Don't ever listen to Game Informer, and if you did read the review he hated almost everything.  Even the flying....  I can understand the ground missions, from what I've heard some of them are realtivly weak and need more work on and some are actually pretty good.  Just wait till Gamespot reviews it and please don't give me this "Gamespot is soo bias" crap on me.  I mainly trust Gamespot cause they are fair with most of their reviews.

There already is emulators and everything for gamecube.  Only problem is that if you tried running it on your comp you would get 1.5 fps.  Its very buggy and isn't worth it, people should just support the Cube and legally obtain games.  I mean with the recent price drop whats a good reason not to own one?

Looks like Nintendo has decided to try and get all the money they can by showing The Legend of Zelda:Tetra Tracker game.  Seems like Zelda's slowly turning into a Mario franchise.  Hopefully Nintendo's got something else for us Zelda fans....

*just a side note, this game sorta reminds me of Mario Party.

I really hope this game lives up to the hype though, the game looks awesome and looks like it plays awesome.  I mean using the matrix moves will be the best part of the game.  Hopefully this game is no button masher.

Word!  I didn't understand the ending either.  I did like how the way Sydney kicked that doubles ass.  It was great when all of the sudden she grabs the deagle and shoots her three times.  There are a couple questions that I need answered, how the heck did Will survive that knife stab.  I mean it looked like she stabbed him, and then went up with the knife.
