Nintendo Gaming / I just rented Eternal Darkness
« on: April 16, 2003, 08:29:11 PM »
i didnt like how there was absolutely no point for guns (except the elephant gun and the assault rifle)
you could either shooot the zombie a few times or run up to him and give him 1 slice on the head.
the game was awesome though...a bit too easy because of the mana regeneration so you could heal all the time.

Nintendo Gaming / Very Impressed With Wind Waker
« on: April 16, 2003, 08:24:11 PM »
im still playing the game....ive been playing it for about .......well ever since it came out.
there just seems like there is so much to do.  i often just get distracted and chase pigs around and do that boat course for money.
yes the graphics are the greatest.  there is only one thing about it that gets to me.  TOO MUCH WATER!  its like im tired of hearing the water rush up on shore and seeing any sort of blue liquid in a game.
i like how he walks with the iron boots on...he looks like such a bad ass

Nintendo Gaming / Penny-Arcade: Gabes take on Wind Waker

they dont sound like jerks to me....they tell it how it is.  the best part about them is that they are not biased in any way and they love games of all kind.

Nintendo Gaming / I don't like metroid prime. Heres why:
« on: March 17, 2003, 10:03:47 AM »
i see what your saying about no emotion....it did need some interaction between something...i mean, like you, i felt no motivation to do anything.  i did like reading the log books though
i have another thing to say....not about metroid prime but about future metroid games...samus is a bounty hunter, right?  so is she ever going to collect her bounty and move on to something completely different and that has nothing to do with metroids? like assassinating someone or doing something else?!!? its possible and it would be interesting to see it happen!

« on: March 15, 2003, 04:39:29 PM »

i say bunk to mario golf and hurray for mario tennis
its not that the mario golf game sucks...its just that all golf games are pretty much boring.

weak story, poor controls, interesting environments, and a great combo system.

thats exactly what i expected this game to be and it is why i never intended to get it.

i really hope this is a new game too. im sick of getting ports like 10 billion years (dramatization, may not have happened)  after they were initially released.

Nintendo Gaming / Killer 7 thread
« on: February 27, 2003, 04:21:55 PM »
why not? whichever one you had a better time playing is the superior game.
anyway, i dont like the sound of that "magic hand" thing that turns people to that guys side...it seems kinda lame.
regardless, this game is fantastic looking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm in about the same boat. I think I will be picking up Killer7 and Resident Evil 4 myself. Dead Phoenix is one that definately does interest me though, and I will be watching it.

Me too.

i thought kirby's air ride looked like an adventure game and that star thing is a hover board type deal.

Nintendo Gaming / Modern GameCube games Need Difficulty Settings
« on: February 24, 2003, 03:16:45 PM »
games have gotten easier over the years.  i have trouble beating super mario 2 and i beat mario 64 no problem (i havent played SMS but i assume that is also so easy its not funny? )
i like games to be hard but thats just not nintendo's way i guess.

i dont like that different tracks idea either. what if there is a great track on the arcade version but then i wont be able to play it
still, this new trailer looks so so so great. is the GC going to look the same as the AC version?
so so so great

Nintendo Gaming / Official F-Zero Thread
« on: February 19, 2003, 04:05:12 PM »
the movie of f-zero on the zelda disc is great ,although i am pretty sure i downloaded it some time before.  does anyone else think the graphics (judging by that video) are somewhat of a mixed bag?  the map with the sunset looking sky and the metal tube with holes in it looks fantastic but mute station looks boring and not flashy enough.  also the graphics look a bit boxy but i guess thats the style of the game ....still i dont lilke it much. anyway, this game is going to rock.

Nintendo Gaming / Beetle Adventure Racing
« on: February 19, 2003, 03:57:10 PM »
I liked that game a lot too.  I liked how there were shortcuts that werent all shortcuts...they were just different ways to go on the track.

Nintendo Gaming / How are you supposed to rate a port of an old game?
« on: February 18, 2003, 04:53:20 PM »
yeah and you have to pay, what, $40 for those.   the zelda thing was free with pre-order so that was 100% great.

Nintendo Gaming / Too Human
« on: February 18, 2003, 04:49:46 PM »
yeah i think its very neat to buy body parts to suit your preferences.
the game hasnt actually been worked on for 5 years though, they did make eternal darkness for quite some time and i doubt they were working too much on too human.  nevertheless that game will rock!

Nintendo Gaming / Is it just me, or is 1080 fugly?
« on: February 18, 2003, 04:47:23 PM »
I think leftfield could have done a better job in this than the waverace folks.  i mean, i liked excitebike a lot more than wave race : blue storm.
this new 1080 game looks like it will be the same as the waverace :blue storm in a sense. it looks like it will have a little improved graphics and bring a weather effect to the game but no real changes in gameplay and therefore will be almost exactly the same game as it was on the 64...which is not good....we need to develop

Nintendo Gaming / --Mario Kart--
« on: February 17, 2003, 03:22:10 PM »
aw you dont like being able to get out of the kart whenever you want? cmon you can always get back in.  of course this would only be useful in a battle mode.  having underwater vehicles and stuff sounds like diddy kong racing.....which wasnt as good as mario kart, but submarine wars does sound really fun.
