Nintendo Gaming / RE:When is the "Only For" not only for?
« on: December 30, 2003, 12:20:46 PM »
If I'm not mistaken, weren't there early copies of SSX: Tricky that had the "Only For" label? And wasn't it originally going to be called SSX: Special Edition? (I seem to recal an article from IGN stating that the BIG team was suping it up and making only for the cube, but of course that later changed before release).

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Mario Kart Discussion (TALK ABOUT MARIO KART HERE)
« on: November 20, 2003, 10:37:34 AM »
I noticed that there's no logo on the box and nothing mentioned in the instructions regarding the using of Logitech's SpeedForce Wheel. I tried switching out the controller last night and it didn't feel very intuitive. (A slight nudge on the wheel was all you needed to make turns - too much and you'd go off the track)

Is it just me?

What about those of you who've tried it out at the mall tour? How did it feel then?

(It's gotta be just me....)

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Metroid Prime in 16:9
« on: October 16, 2003, 06:46:12 AM »
I'd definitely recommend it having played it in both 16:9 and 4:3.
In the options menu there is an option to "squish" the screen vertically (everything is "thinner"). Max that setting (make everything as "thin" as possible) and it makes playing the game in 16:9 mode a lot more enjoyable.

And he will...
oh yes, he WILL.

...
Soon.

All kidding aside, I hope the cryptic hints keep on coming.

I never put 2 and 2 together. (Nintendo's current LAN "explosion", and last July's GameSpy press release)

However, the GCAdvanced.com interview also passed under my radar, as well as that of a few others.

Still, it all seems so simple, and so obvious. The question now is simply: When?

Just read today at GamerFeed that Factor 5 is licensing out the DIVX software for use on xbox. Someone on another board (perhaps GF?) mentioned that Thornado would be showing up on the xbox as well (although I saw no hard proof , and believe it to be pure speculation)

Although...
Didn't F5 say that, other than Rogue Squadron III, they were working on a second title and would not comment on the platform?

I don't see Factor 5 straying from the cube.
But who knows? I might end up blindsided.

Nintendo Gaming / F-Zero GX not a typo
« on: May 06, 2003, 11:50:33 AM »
Well, perhaps it has some of the same features as the 64DD's F-Zero-X?

BTW, what were all those extra features?

Custom track design is all I remember....

Nintendo Gaming / Anyone else find it strange ... MGS3

Well, the Oid's right.

I, for one, CERTAINLY didn't think about that.
I definately would dream of something along those lines happening, but...
I highly doubt it.

What happened to the headline at CUBE.ign.com? I went back a short while ago, and it was nowhere to be found.

Did anyone bookmark it by chance? If so, does the link still work?

Yes, the page loaded is the GCN portion of the Nintendo main site.

My sytems a little slow so as www.metalgear3.com loaded, I could see that it it finished quickly with a blank screen, then loaded http://www.gamecube.com/index.jsp which took just a second (again another blank screen), and finally loaded http://www.nintendo.com/systems/gcn/index.jsp

So I guess the question still is: Who registered the MetalGear3 page?

Actually, it didn't look like the "www.nintendo.com" main page, but rather, the gamecube portion of www.nintendo.com.

I'll have to check that out.

As far as the entire issue goes.... yep... freaky.

Hope it's a hint at things to come.... What else do we have but hope?

Any chance they will implement LAN gaming for the 2P-Co-Op aspect like in MK: DD?

I believe that would ice this cake.

(paraphrased)

"I got one!!"
"That's great kid. Now don't get cocky!"

I'd have to agree with that rational.

I'm sure there are still some great Nintendo titles yet to be revealed, but letting this info out early will take a lot of the spotlight off the big N, and allow more 3rd party titles to step up and be noticed.

I had been holding out on buying the Logitech Speed Force just waiting for word on newer titles that support it. I read a lot of the previews for B:2 and was hoping like hell that it would offer support.

After seeing the mention in the review at PGC my decision was made.

Now I just need that IRS return....

« on: April 07, 2003, 11:13:45 AM »
I am SERIOUSLY considering it.

I'd love to play through the game a second time. It's been an enjoyable experience thus far, and I liken the "upgraded game" to the MasterQuest.

To kick off Mardi Gras, GBA SP blew into New Orleans with Stuff magazine, Heineken and Amstel Light, for a star-studded weekend V.I.P. party at the Mardi Gras Mansion in the heart of the Garden District (February 28 - 30).

Heh Heh, I love how Nintendo squeezed two more days out of February!! Or maybe it's just the Heineken talkin' !
