I'm praying Shiggy's "hide the donut" act with Mario128 just has me overreacting and that it will actually make it out for GC - and be around next holiday season.

I will then take my FAT haul of Christmas '04 games and giggle like a schoolgirl.

Now you're thinkin'.   Sorry about the girlfriend, but after 15 yrs of marriage take my advice:  Stick with hookers.  Much, much cheaper in the long run.  Your retirement plan'll be maxed before you're 40, you'll still have cash to travel the world AND buy video games.

I have given you all the knowledge you need - now go forth.

I agree with the Super Mario games, and the redone Kirby is a sight to behold.  Ahh, the colors...

This is one of those I think we'll hear more about after Christmas.  I see it on a lotta gamer's lists, and I think its a must-have.

Isn't it great?  I'm certain it will sound like fanboy (or fanman)-ism, but I really think there have been a few million gamers out there that have honestly really wanted a GC, but have went for the XBox for style points and the PS2 because everyone else has it.  Certainly there are fine games for those systems, and I don't discount that, but now that GC is slashed everyone can say "well, its only $___, so I figured 'why not?"  Even though we KNOW they couldn't wait to get home and fire up one of these little beauties.

Of course, we all know somehow the XBox numbers will double the GCs this holiday season......  Lets see, the GC sales will increase 10-fold, the Xbox will triple, and BANG Xbox is ahead again.

When I heard about the EB Players Choice deal, I saw it was only SSBM, Luigis Mansion and Pikmin at 6 am. on the site.  I ran over to local EB and the guys were counting ALL Players Choice titles, regardless of system. I picked up SSBM, SMS, LM, and SA for my nephew for $50.

Hey all, I've been hearing a smattering of rumours about "Black Friday" deals at gamestores and was looking for some confirmation.  In particular, I've seen some talk about a deal at EB stores regarding Player's Choice titles (2 for $25?!?! in the early morning hours).  This sounds a bit far-fetched, has anyone heard such?

My 8 yr old nephew finally got a Cube after a year of spending waaaay to much time at my house with mine.  No way he's "borrowing" my games, so if I can get a good deal I'll buy him a handful on Friday to keep his grubby mitts of my shtuff!

Definitely worth the price of admission (especially at the $20 price tag in many places).  Personally, I don't think it compares favorably to Halo, but its by far the best FPS on the 'Cube - for both single and multi-play.

« on: November 04, 2003, 01:56:32 AM »
I've not seen anything about that, either.  Only explanation I can see is one look at FZero was enough to make 'em shelve it.  At least TubeSlider sold a few coming out a bit in advance of FZero, but I doubt XGRA would have made a ripple.  The last installment was at least entertaining, though.

Ugh.  Whats up with the Dragon's Lair style of movement?

When you believe the enemy is close you can trigger a battle sequence?  That sounds AWFUL.  That doesn't sound like you pop out (in-game) from the corner guns blazin' - it sounds more like you just hit a button and are warped to some generic fighting area RPG style.  I hope that was just fuzzy translation.

Are enemies - to save the programming, extra art frames and FUN apparently, going to be on predetermined paths of movement?

Despite the all over the board reviews, I'm leaning toward XIII.  This one sound like its shaping up to be tons of style and not enough gameplay or interaction.

If you're into the old stuff, they don't get better than the Castlevania GBA games and Metriod Fusion.  Sprinkle in a darned expensive copy of Tactics Ogre and a Super Mario or two (or four) and you is gamin', baby.

I've BEEN waiting for the price drop.  Games great and awful both have come down in price and those sorry ports that were overpriced to begin with are STILL 40 bones.

Provided it doesn't involve trips of several minutes in a boat to get anywhere, I'm buying it regardless.  Ah, the days of riding your trusty friend Epona to another area less than 15 seconds and a quarter-mile away.

We've seen too many of these posts to bother responding to them in detail.  Regardless the fate of the GC, you are wrong on almost every point.  Fish pointed out but one of several.

I saw NBA STREET 2 at a Gamestop in St. Louis area today - NEW - at 29.99.  Thought that was freaky-cheap, may have been misprinted.  Had I not been utterly wrapped up in pickin up FFTA and Boktai, I'da snatched it (Have GBP, no GBA, so I have only the foggiest plan how to get my Gamecube into the sun).

I've heard back and forth over the last month or so that it wasn't making it to GCN.  Anyone heard recent news to the contrary?
