General Gaming / Gamecube sound problem

Well, as the title say I have a sound problem, but I will take it more detailed:
I was running my gamecube putting it on the side for trying to connect it to my computer using the ports under it,
and I did not notice the fan so after a while I tried to start it, success, it started and everything went as it used to but
there was no sound.. HELP!!!
Now when im no longer in panic i decided to ask you guys what it could be. May it be any hardware inside
which have burnt or something when it was tipped on the left side??
I really need anwser.. Please help..
