Nintendo Gaming / RE:Wii Photo Channel to be modified in December
« on: December 15, 2007, 06:29:38 AM »
I didn't know iTunes converted them..maybe i did and forgot.... Does either version of the photo channel allow you to play back multiple songs during a slide show? I had one up last year Christmas Day and all my sisters cried(it was their kids and our family and stuff). I would like to do it again, but play a few songs during it without having to manually change it.
Thanks!

I thought that might be wrong. It would really frustrate me if you had to beat the game in one sitting. Although Super C began my first all night game sessions. i was not going to get it if you could not save, just cause it would get very angry when I died!

Can you save? I read a review last month that said if you die, you have to start at the beginning again. I thought that seemed odd since it is a handheld.
Thanks for the input.

Does anyone know if it works with the DS and the Internet Browser?

Nintendo Gaming / RE:What do you use to watch videos on your Wii?

It isn't Orb.
Someone talked about a website they go to, on the Wii, that allows them to watch you tube videos in full screen, it was maximized for use on the Wii.
With the update of the Browser though, watching Full screen is no biggie now. Ah, I just can't remember it.
I will try those other sites.

Ah! I remember reading a topic a while ago(a week or so), and someone mentioned a new website that is Wii Beautified, and he/she watches their videos using that site as a launching point.
I have the Wii Portal site, and I have seen Viewii and SofaWii, but those are not the ones I remember hearing about. I am sorry that I have such little info to go on, but I know it was this board. I checked the threads that have to do with the browser and I just can't find that particular message.
It was a site that allowed you to watch videos and perhaps listen to music (not HearWii) it was easy to use.
Thanks for any help! I messed around with the New Browser and it works great!
Thanks again!

Nintendo Gaming / RE: NEW CHANNEL SPECULATION THREAD
« on: February 26, 2007, 03:37:40 AM »
I would have to say a Music Channel.
Arcade Channel? For various new games, but there are slots for each game to have their own channel, so I imagine they will keep it like the VC games.
Oh! Trivia Channel! Or a daily channel, for example "10 years ago today"..... or
something that would show how "Today is Eat a lot of Kethcup Day" Each day has their Own Odd little thing about it. National Wear Polka Doys Day,  Secretaries Day, Etc..

Where have you heard about new Channels being revealed?

This game reminds me a bit of Pikmin. At first I did not like the timer (it didn't stop me from playing either), but I started to enjoy it once I got used to it. I will have to get this game. I grew up on River Raid and Pac Man on the 2600. Of course there were no game saves, so the thrill was a high score or making it to the Hamburg level in Super Pac Man. So I take it the Eternal mode lets you explore each level? Are there still elebits and things to find?
Thanks!

They are saving the great games for when there is a shortage of new Wii games. Nintendo has stated that. I think they will come out with the better games when there a fewer "new" games. That makes sense, but it would make sense now too!

Where can I see or read the Christmas comment from Reggie? I saw it on the news, but I forget what he said.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Red Steel Time Frame
« on: December 11, 2006, 01:32:12 AM »
I love the game! I have to use the Legacy layout when I play Halo. All other layouts make me ill. I tried Resistance, but all that can be changed with the controls is the y axis and button layout. I thought that was aweful for a game like that to have no button mapping. That is the only game I would want for the PS3 at this time. The only thing that annoys me about Red Steel is when I spin around frantically after it loads, and the sometimes awkward sword fights. I was a little leary about getting the game because of all the reviews, but the controls are just right for me. I actually didn't even touch Zelda this weekend becasue I was so into Red Steel. They can only make the series better. Lets hope they work out the sword fights, IMO.
Thanks!

I saw the Red Steel thread. I didn't want to read through all 35 pages. After looking at a few I thought I would post.

About how long is Red Steel or about how many levels are there? I am borrowing the game from a friend and I am not sure how far away I am from completing it.
Thanks!

Yeah! I like laying down and how I can just have my hands down at my sides. It keeps the wrists from cramping.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:How do I play video on the Wii?
« on: December 03, 2006, 04:54:32 AM »
Well, I opened my SD card and the videos aren't in there, so I tried to drag them to the card and every time I click on the video in the MPEG folder it freezes.
So, something is happening there. I will try to reinstall the program...again.

« on: December 03, 2006, 03:25:41 AM »
I know I can play video on the Wii. I downloaded Wii Video 9, coverted the video and then transfered it to my SD card. They did not show up in the photo channel.
What am I do wrong?
Has anyone had success with this? How did you go about it?
Thanks for your help!

PartyBear, what batteries do you use?

I remember the WaveBird booklet said not to use rechargable batteries, but in the FAQS on Nintendo's web site said it is okay to use rechargeables and they said what kind to use. I would look on Nintendo's page, but I work at a school and the filter does not let me access Nintendo's web page. I will try to email them when I get home.

I might get the subscription, but the soundtrack only has 6 songs on it. I think I will wait for an import. Those are usually 2 disks.

With the Wavebird the Nintendo web site said it is okay to use alkaline rechargables, does anyone know what they say about the Remote? Are alkaline rechagables okay? or are NiMH better?
Thanks!
