I see this thread and can't think of a great story, then I scroll down and see another old thread where they were talking about me possibly drunk posting from 2009.

My stories about me being drunk are not exciting, but other stories about other people being drunk are a lot better. But I have to think really hard about them because they were nearly 20 years ago.

I also got to give props to the Power A gamecube controller for switch for not running out of batteries the entire time I've played Vice City and San Andreas.

I bought the GTA Definitive edition trilogy for like less than $20.

It's been fun. And I got it well past the point where it was a buggy mess with a lot of broken stuff. Though I have seen some floating trees. And I lament some missing soundtrack pieces and the ability to make your own radio station on the pc version.

I beat Vice City, which I give an 8.5/10

and I'm 60-70ish percent through San Andreas which I also give an 8.5/10 so far.


Last Summer I played through Red Dead Redemption 1 and I give that one a 9/10

I am halfway through Undead Nightmare, but haven't touched it since last summer.

I also give Red Dead Redemption 2 a 9.5/10.

I got GTAIV too on mu backlog. I played a little bit of it before switching to Vice City.

So, I've almost played through all the major Rockstar games.

Just checking, but am I reading correctly that Vice City was the only game of this list that you completed this month so far?

I'm almost done with San Andreas. I've only been playing 3 hours at a time every two days. I spent 41 hours playing Vice City. 59 hours on San Andreas. 3.1 hours on GTA 4. 18 minutes on GTA 3

I had a blast reading about my old dreams, many of which I don't remember. Many of you had some great dreams too. I really haven't had a weird dream in a while. But I also don't take nyquil every night like I did in the early 2010s.

Possession(1981)   9/10 - The only way to explain it is if you've been through it before. The movie is surreal and weird but it perfectly expresses something that you can only get through esoteric means. Sam Neill is great. So is Isabelle Adjani.

I haven't really been paying much attention to it, but some games go through a fundamental modern upgrade and Metroid still looks like a GameCube era game. I'm not talking about graphics. Breath of the Wild, has so many amazing mechanics changes and is a giant world. I just checked out the trailer from 5 days ago, and it does have a bigger hub now. So, that's cool.

I know how I would fundamentally change Metroid to make it modernized. But knowing that, I might as well make my own game.

The reason why I prefer physical is because after a 3 year hiatus I turned on my Wii U. It still worked fine, but it kept telling me to update and I was like "probably shouldn't try that"

With my wii u I transferred all my digital games to the console, so yeah.

Not yet.  I was thinking of doing it after one of my shifts tomorrow but the one Arizona Best Buy has a NS2 summer gaming event on the 21st of June. So I may just pick up a Switch 2 at that time.

The news is there is a 90 day pause on tariffs on all the listed countries except China. Which, was 75 countries. I'm not sure where all of Switch 2's are being manufactured currently, but I sort have expected companies to switch their supply chains after 2020 away from China. At least that is what many companies were doing. According to a google search Nintendo diversified and started making some of its supply chain in Vietnam and Cambodia. So, we might be out of the woods at least for 90 days. I expect Vietnam will woo the administration in the long term. They have been geostrategic US partners.

It really depends on where they want to manufacture Switch 2s. In 2 years we might have chip plants here in the US capable of making them, but that is 2 years from now. India was at 26% tariffs, Indonesia was at 32%, the cheapest place looks to be Malaysia at 24%, Mexico and Canada were not on the list as the chess plan looks to probably to make a newer newer newer nafta agreement. I'm not sure who else has the capability for the volume of capacity currently. I don't know if this will be resolved by June though. I wonder if the fine for smuggling them in is more than the tariffs? Michael Jordan used to just pay the fines for wearing his shoes on the court.

Also, with the Game sharing feature, that makes transferring your saves sound easier. I never had a Switch, but the transferring of digital games and data from Wii to Wii U was pretty straight forward. Nintendo has made it work at least once before.

Long term the biggest quality of life things have been things with custom batteries. They are terrible. DS. PSP, and the Wii U controller have had problems with their old custom batteries. My Sega Saturn's battery dies every few years, but it has never been a problem to replace a cr2032 battery. May they produce these forever.

Charging for Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour is fucking LOL. I probably wasn't going to play an interactive instruction manual anyway. Now, I'm definitely not. GTFOH, Nintendo.

I like how in the presentation they were like "if you're interested" like they knew it was a dud of an idea.


Interesting that Donkey Kong is doing what I would have liked to see Metroid do. It seems like youre on an interactive destructible planet.
