Nintendo Gaming / Samus in bikini

Howdy,
I was wondering what up with Samus not taking her suit off at the end of Metroid Prime, like they did in the Super Nintendo? Do you think they were saving it for Prime 2?

Nintendo Gaming / Gameboy Advance Killer??
« on: May 07, 2003, 03:42:57 PM »

In a recent new article by MSNBC (Microsoft owned) they ran an article about a new Palm handheld gaming system. Here are a few quotes that might get Nintendo moving to make a new Gameboy...NOT!

"  The Tapwave executives hope to compete with those two units (GBA and N-Gage) on the basis of superior technology.
The Helix boasts twice the color palate of the Game Boy and nearly 16 times that of the N-Gage. It offers a screen resolution well sharper than either one and a much larger screen size. "

"Connell and Lim (the makers) said the target audience for the Helix consists of people 18 years to 34 years old who have largely ''graduated'' from Nintendo Co. Ltd.'s Game Boy Advance portable gaming unit. "

LOL!!!!!! Graduated from GBA? That's just plain funny. I couldn't seem to find any tech spec or pictures. Has anybody heard anything more about this "thing"? How could anybody even consider competing with GBA SP? 1000's of games, everybody and there momma is making games for GBA. Anyways, just thought it was funny.

Nintendo Gaming / Young Link
« on: May 03, 2003, 06:40:40 PM »
I have a question thats going me a little confused. How can Link be the hero of time in Zelda: Windwaker if he's not old enough. Remember what the Sage of Light told Link in the Ocarina of Time after he becomes big?

"The Master Sword is a sacred blade which evil ones may never touch.... Only one worthy of the title of "Hero of Time" can pull it from the Pedestal of Time.... However, you were too young to be the Hero of Time.... Therefore, your spirit was sealed here for seven years. "

Whats going on here? Is Link supposedly an Adult in Windwaker? I remember Miyamoto saying that the realistic graphics wouldn't work for an adult Link, so he much be a young link...aggggrrr. What do ya'll think?

The wind blew, the Windwaker has taken off.

NWR Feedback / GAMECUBE "SP"
« on: May 01, 2003, 05:16:26 PM »
Well, I would sell mine Black Gamecube on ebay and then buy the GAMECUBE SP. I was going to do that when I saw the Platinum, but never got around to it.

Here something of my personal experience with Gamecube:

Whenever I ever mention Gamecube to any of my 20+ old friends they say that its the kiddy system and a couple of people asked me if Nintendo still made games. I was SHOCKED and took my shoe of and wacked them with it, to knock a little sense into them. Anyways back to the point. A cool looking Gamecube could really make the difference as people could show off there COOL system, not something that looks like a lunch box or a toaster(gamecube in it current state).

Nope, I have my gamecube hooked up to the RCA ports. I don't have a S-Video cable, but it would be nice.

Have you read this article http://www.planetgamecube.com/editorials.cfm?action=profile&id=122
I would buy the Gamecube SP in a heart beat. I think this is exactly what Nintendo needs to do. What do you think?

Howdy,
I have the Viewsonic VB50HRTV that you are talking about. I got it for $70 on ebay and its work every penny. I get to play Zelda and Metroid on my 19 inch screen with my Klipsch 4.1 sound and its flippin awesome. Metroid looks especially good. I would highly recommened you getting the Viewsonic tuner. I can also watch tv with this tuner. Its great.

2.) In the 2F room where you found the compass. Play the Song of Time in the spot where Navi turns green, then climb on it and bomb the boulders up top.

4.) In the small room to the northwest, adjacent to the graveyard room. You have to have the hookshot or boomerang to get it.

Here's a trick if you haven't gotten the one in the Castle after you get by the guards:

Go past the guards through the castle moat. Play the song of storms near the tree and bomb the walls inside the hole.  Save the game before you attempt this trick. Drop down into the hole and throw your bummerang at the skultilla and walk back into the light that will take you out. You'll get the skulltilla but can go back in and get it again. ;-D

Well, it would be cool, if they had one part of the game furturistic (ala Chronno Trigger). Something where you're in the destroyed future, where robots have taken over. You don't have to have flying cars and all the junk.

Well, lets see, Famitsu has only given out (((((   4    )))))) perfect scores, so I don't know what you mean that all of the games get high or perfect scores.  By the way: Zelda OoT was one of the other games that got a perfect score from Famitsu.

By the time the next Nintendo system comes around all of your Gamecube disks will be scratched and you'll be playing 256 Mario, Zelda to the Future 3, Metriod Linkage, Mario Hydro-kart  and won't even care about Gamecube games. Alright those are some cheesy names, but I had to come up with something...

I've been wondering. Mario kart for Nintendo 64 was on of the funnest multiplayer games every made. What do you think Nintendo is going to do to improve the Mario Kart for Gamecube? Do you think they'll include characters from other games besides Mario games? Online or not?

What would be awesome, how about something like this?

You start out in the regular Hyrule and do some quest which lead you to travel through time to like year 2100 and you can also go to like 1,000,000 BC. Kinda like in Chronno Trigger. That would rock, and you still keep the Zelda feel for all the people that wouldn't have it any other way. I really like the idea of ridding a dinosaur and in the same game riding a floating car or something futuristic But thats never going to happen..maybe the dino part will, but the future car thing...I don't think so.

hehe, this has turned out to be a pretty interesting post. Keep em suggestions coming.

Alright, those were great responses, but not many said what they don't like about Zelda games. Here are a couple of thoughts.

What I do NOT like about Zelda:
*That I wasn't able to get the Triforce in Zelda OOT...lol, I beet that game inside out, outside out, upside down, every way posible but I couldn't freaking get the Triforce. I know it was meant to be that way, but I would have crapped in my pants if they would have made it posible to get it.
*Chee, this is hard, no wonder people didn't write much.

What I would like in the next Zelda game:
*This is going to sound wierd, but I want a multiplayer. Not like Shooter game multiplayers. I want something simple, something like "The 4 Swords" for Zelda "Link to the Past" on Gameboy Advance. That was soooo fun and simple.

*About the graphics, I would like a Space world type Zelda game, but I'm sure Miyamoto-Zan is going to blow our minds AGAIN with the next Zelda. It would be cool for him to do a semi cel shaded, the Space World Link cel shaded.

*That Zelda would actually be playable, to have part in the game. Not a big part, just a little something..I mean the game is named after her.

Well, I'll be back with more later. But for now I'll leave you with a little something to brighten your day:

Usefull things to do with your Xbox or PS2:

*) Ps2 makes a great stand to put your Gamecube on.

*) X-box's are so big they make good targets for people learning how to shoot.

*) If someone is breaking into your house you can throw your x-box at them and it will knock them out.

*) Ps2's make lovely bottle rocket launchers.

*) If you stand on your x-box in a crowd you can see where you want to go.

*) You can smash it to tiny peices and make a Mario model.

*) You put your Xbox a better use (not that anybody of you own one), take the Xbox apart and make yourself a computer instead..it comes with the Windows 2000 kernel already installed

*) There is never the need for sleeping pills anymore, just wait for your XBox/PS2 to load your game!

More XBOX possibilities:

*) You can put wheels on it, and safely fit an entire family inside.
*) Garbage Compactor. Simply place on top, and watch it flatten.
*) Use one or two to weigh down your hot air balloon.
*) sell it to a gym, they can use them as weights for the barbells

More PS2 possiblities:
* Use as kickstand for a bike
* Cut out the empty space for a hard drive, and see how well it balances, or just fill it with pudding
* Try to play a 3 -4 player game without a multi tap, then cry

Here is what a PS2 fan boy said about the Gamecube, thought you would get a kick out of it.
"well, I think GC is relly going down in popularity because game stores are selling them for bout $150 and XBox and PS2 are going for $200. But dont get me wrong... I dont like XBox. I only like HALO for it! PS2 has more to offer. We have a network adapter, harddrive add-on, etc. thats just my oppinian!"

Welcome to the Zelda news column,

I recently read (http://www.gamecubenetwork.com/#2270) that Mr. Miyamoto said that the new Zelda for Gamecube has already been started.

Question for all ya'll Zelda fans:

What do you want in the next Zelda game?
What should they get rid of from Zelda games?

Thanks for reading...may the Tri-Force be with thee,
