Nintendo Gaming / Metroid Prime Gravity Chamber Missle Expansion....
« on: April 01, 2003, 03:35:28 PM »
You can still get that expansion if you can pull of some precise jumping.  Check out the appropriate video here for a workaround.  Make SURE you get the codec that's linked from that page first if you don't have it already, or the vid will NOT work.

I've used power bombs on OP before and they hurt him bad; the bomb just needs to be close to his weak point (core) as possible when you set it off, so that the explosion hits the core for a long time.

Best results were, roll up to the edge of the phazon pool he's in (without moving so close to the pool that Samus takes damage), place one regular bomb, and when it blasts Samus into the air, drop a power bomb at the peak of the jump.  Morph out and switch to x-ray as usual, and then back away a little if you can manage it, cuz OP thrashes around like crazy when he gets hit by a pbomb and will prolly dog you if you don't)

mike-- One of the four stone heads (the ones on either side of the hallway that are scannable) is cracked and can be shattered with a missile. Doing this reveals a socket to open the gate.

go back to phendrana shorelines room (in the snow area) and look around for a way to reach the temple on the cliff now that you've got better jumping ability.
