Nintendo Gaming / RE: IGN Leaks Some Rev Specs Again! 3/29/06
« on: March 29, 2006, 04:56:52 PM »
The revolutions cpu is way faster then the original xbox's

A powerpc 733 is the equivalent to a pentium 4 1.5 ghz. The rev cpu is about 833 power pc.

The xbox was a 733 p3 ( i think a celeron wich makes it worse)

http://www.macworld.com/2001/07/bc/buzzppcvpentium/

link to my proof.

IF you call a system that is 2 times as powerfull as the original xbox an xbox then go ahead.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:New TV for the upcoming Revolution

Why not just buy a crt hdtv? I got my toshiba 26 inch widescreen hdtv for $488 dollars. If you buy a crt tv you get to be able to play your revolution in 480p and can play hdtv content.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:2-3 Times as powerful as GC true, sez IGN
« on: December 06, 2005, 02:47:41 AM »
First off. the developers dont have the finished gpu and dont even know what the finished gpu can do .

Second off the article even states that they are absically using gamecubes with more memory and rev controller functionality.

they even said its a glorified xbox. How do you know that . Power pc chips are the equivalent to amd chips they run things faster at a slower clock rate then intels p3 series as what is in the xbox.

How can you possibly say how fast the rev will be when you dont have the gpu and the finished cpu in your hands?

also they dont even mention the developers company.

it could be there dogs cousins brother who gave them thast info . they could have even made it up to have content for there rev section.

there was no facts in that article.

People  this was posted as a rumour in the magazine.

Also there is a nother ruomour (could be real i am listing as a rumour) that just recently ibm handed nintendo the final cpu.

IF thats the case the developers have glorified gamecube dev kits.

Nintendo themselves said that devs could use gc devs kits to develop for the rev until the rev ones are done.

Now if the cpu for the rev was just finished the devs cant possibly have a dev kit that ca nshow what the rev can do .

Even the early xbox 360 ones were like only 25% of the power of the final design.

See this is what wild  factless  speculation gets you.

Notice the words early dev kits. even the ps3 dev kits didnt have all the power yet.

there are rumours that the cpu was just finished recently for the rev.

Nintendo themselves said that the early dev kits are basically gc ones.

why must people beleive the rumour mill of a gaming magazine?

You guys are believing a magazine over nintendo themselves.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:My Revolution Conspiracy Theory
« on: November 16, 2005, 11:23:41 AM »
My theory is its an upgraded gamecube.

Not the eact hardware but close

The processor for the rev will be the same family but just upgraded speed. I think that processor family f i read the data sheet on it right goes up to 1ghz or 1.4 ghz.

they are using the same memory company and disc company and even the same graphics company (ati bought art x so they are tech the same)

I think it will be an upgraded gamecube. Nothing more.

instead of a 450 processor maybe an 800mhz processor. Instead of 64 of the ram that it had maybe 128 or 256.

See what i mean ? Maybe even double or tripple the disc capacity.

You cant just use the gc hardware because there are many more things added that will use up power like usb ports, wifi, managing the flash memory and the bluetooth for the wireless controllers.

My opinion its just an upgraded gc. maybe just doubling or trippling some things.

Hmmm i dont know when next time they will reveal info .

They also said there are still some surprises that they have yet to reveal with the revolution .

Nintendo has 2 major problems and really only these two

1. There marketing stinks. The reason why gta and games like that are selling well is because the commercials and the games are thrown if your face every day.
IF Nintendo got a better marketing strategy they will do a lot better. THats their main problem. Not the games and  not the system.

2. OTher companies not marketing their gamecube games. Of course a 3rd aprty game will do bad if you do not advertise for it.  IF ea or another company wont advertise it Nintendo should.

To Sum it up: The problem with Nintendo is their marketing. THats it Not Their hardware and not their software. I bet if you saw a commercial every day from now until the next loz release it will sell millions. Nintendo should start marketing it now. Like have weird vague commercials for it in movie theaters. Like a saying the darkness is comming . Then slowly build up from there.
