Nintendo Gaming / RE:GameCube Advanced?
« on: December 22, 2003, 10:37:02 PM »
Look how small the GC disc is compared to the GBA cartridge.  That's a big-@$$ cartridge.  and the control pads are almost as big as the disc is!! Also, that would actually be quite a large enough screen considering it is as big as the GC disk.  In fact the whole unit would be huge considering how large it is in comparison to the disc.  Unless we are assuming that they are using even SMALLER discs than the GCN uses.  But that would be retarded so we won't assume that.  And don't tell me the cartridge looks so big b/c of perspective.  Nice render yes, but completely obviously fake.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Will Digital Television Make New Features Available?
« on: December 22, 2003, 10:28:30 PM »
Dude, 720P would be 1280 x 720 b/c it is a widescreen format, and 1080i would be 1920 x 1080 (also widescreen).  1080P pretty much doesn't exist because there are only a few TV's that can even display it, and as far as I know It's not even an ATSC standardized resolution.  And, yes, all the new game systems will support all of these standards.  Digital TV is definitely catching on and more and more people get HDTV's everyday, so they will certainly support the resolutions.  1080i will probably be the most common I would guess, as it has been so far with most HDTV broadcasts.

As far as making new features availbale for games,  I don't see how.  They will just be higher resolutions.
