yeah - id say its safe for a 9 year old.  the only suggestive themes he will notice is silvia being extra uhm, needing at the beginning for some loving from joe, but its nothing you dont see in a pg rated movie.

then again, in the city levels, there are some billboards advertising strip clubs and transsexual stuff...  i doubt a 9 year old would notice it though...

Nintendo Gaming / another zelda: collectors edition query
« on: December 04, 2003, 04:52:44 PM »
hmm - my other topic was closed for an unknown reason

so - anyway, ive got the other zelda disk, the oot masterquest for pre-ordering windwaker.  i was just wondering if the save file on that will work on the collectors edition, i dont know why it wouldnt - i guess, but i see that it not working on it would be a major possibility.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: In need of cheap gamecube component connector

yeah, the only place i know of is the nintendo website.  if youre lucky, you might find one that was bought back at a video games buy back store.

my question is - youre able to afford a hi-def television, but youre looking for CHEAP COMPONENT cables?  whats the deal man?

you think thats sad?  LOL!  i saw a halo 2 package at best buy being sold for $40..  included in it is a small xbox coupon book, halo 2 video footage, and a madcrapz controller.

now THATS a rip-off.  i even asked one ofthe employees if it was some kind of halo 2 pre-order package or something at which he responded with "no, its a crappy rip-off"

uhm, i think he knows that.  besides, what kind of a big deal would that be?  hell, thats hardly an announcement.  thats one of those "meh, cool, i dont really care" things.

i think nintendo will announce that they have 1,000 gun-satelites orbitting this planet, and any country that does not bend to their rule shall face the wrath.  yes, nintendo will soon announce world domination.

my god, grey ninja, why do you care?  that is the real question.  you dont like internet explorer?  cool!  good for you!  why are you going to spread these IE Hate rants throughout this place though?  you sound like a macintosh freak...

matt - no, its connected to the cords on the xbox.  if ALL that you play on your xbox is live, than, i guess it would be kind of a futile purchase.  but if you ever play anything outside of live you have GOT to give this wonderfull ergonomic design a chance.  ive never felt a controler so comfortable.  too bad its $69.99, meh, for me its $49 anyway

oh god - there is absolutely NO WAY that it could POSSIBLY be another version of the GBA.  oh man, i cant even believe that im hearing this.  its not even been a year since the sp came out.  now people are ALREADY speculating of a new gba..  wtf!?!  nope, its not that, its not a new console...  the internet possibility is infinitely more possible than those 2

Nintendo Gaming / RE: 1080 Avalanche

""Didn't really do anything other board games aren't doing. ""

WOAH!  Stop there son.

youre talking to the biggest snowboarding game fanatic out there.  right now, there are only 3 contenders for the trophy (cool boarders sucks my schlong)..  ssx obviously, amped, and 1080.  as a huge fan of all those games, and a player of each game in the series (ssx, tricky, ssx 3, amped, amped 2, 1080, 1080 avalanche).  1080 is the most realistic of them all.  first off - it has avalanches, like, SERIOUS avalanches - ssx 3 made an attempt at that, but didnt pull it off nearly as well as 1080.  then, lets look at the trick attack.  none of the games have an Air make, and everybody whos played 1080 knows how great that air make can be.

bagh, im ranting, i'll stop, lets just leave it at 1080 does a LOT of new things, adn does  a lot of things that arent new, but havent been done before in games.  its a realistic simulator, placing emphassis moer on speed than on tricks...

"""that's the dumbest thing i've heard you say since your suggestion for a games based on nightmare on elm street. nothing nintendo has ever said even remotely hints that the gamecube (and especially the gameboy advance) will ever go online in march."""

thinking that nintendo will actually hint towards something is teh dumbest thing IVE ever heard.  nintendos announcements are nearly NEVER hinted at prior to the announcement.  think of teh GBA SP, and the comic book art covered cube.  hmmm..

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Wireless Wavebird Controller?
« on: December 04, 2003, 08:02:53 AM »
no, you do not have to worry about any interferance whatso-ever.  you can play it at the neighboors house.  its 900 MHz, so of course theres no interferance.  and yes, they are worth it, the second best controller ever concieved to video games.

the  best, of course, if the Logitech wireless x-box controller, the comfort grip is excellent, the d-pad conforms wonderfully to your finger - ive never experienced such a wonderful feeling d-pad.  and the excellent extroverted analog sticks.  *DROOLS*

yeah, get that, and get the logitech xbox wireless after y oure done with that...

well - speaking as someone who has completed most of teh games challenges - i should say this game is sheer genuis...  its the perfect sequel to the excellent 1080.  the tricks are slightly easier to pull off, and you have more of a jump than in the original, aside from that, all of teh amazingly solid gameplay mechanics have stayed in this game - if you ever even THOUGHT, had a minor IDEA of picking up this game, do yourself a favor adn pick it up, you will NOT be disappointed.

DAMN!  what state are you in?  your sales tax SUUUCKS!

hey fox, if you cant find one with a zelda collectors, who cares.  youll just have to purchase 2 of the greatest games ever concieved - 1080: avalanche and Mario Kart.  anybody that considers themselves a fan of games needs to get those 2 anyway...  if you cant find it with the platinum cube, then register those online.  if you CAN find it with the platty cube, get those anyway, just dont register them...

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Still a good time to get a GameCube?
« on: December 02, 2003, 08:16:51 AM »
well, it was pretty well answered with his ^^^^ response.  but, i'll elaborate my point of view as well.

YES!  yes, yes, and YES!  even if you were to suppose that all developers halted any and all development on gamecube games, hell, even if nintendo did too - the $99 bundle pack is more than worth it jsut for the games that are already out.  if you havent had the awesome pleasure of playing through metroid prime, the adrenaline rush of mario kart, the shocking eye candy of resident evil, or the psychological teaser of eternal darkness - than you are missing out.  the only cure for that disease would be to whip out that $100 and get cracking.

BUY THE CUBE ALREADY!  NINTENDO DROPPED THE PRICE TO $100 SO THAT ANYBODY THAT HADNT BOUGHT IT ALREADY WOULD BE DECLARED BRAIN DEAD!  GET IT!

cheers..

Nintendo Gaming / Zelda: Collectors edition promo
« on: December 02, 2003, 08:12:37 AM »
okay - as one of the gamecube custoemrs back when it was $150, i obviously didnt get teh free zelda: collectors edition title. so i had to do it the other way - purchasing two nintendo produced games - 1080: avalanche adn Mario Kart: double dash.  now, ive been searching throughout the nintendo website and i still quite dont understand exactly how im supposed to register and get it free.  do i just register teh games adn then theyll send me the zelda?  or do i have to do soemthing else?

oh, and yes, im pretty new - i had a few posts on here before which were pretty uhm, bitter i guess.  sorry for that, fortunately i removed that stick from my arse

anyway, help would be much appreciated.

play halo with a d-pad?  wtf?!

okay, who made that "silicon knights made ED, sega made F-Zero" comment has some brain deficiencies.  the whole development of ed was overseen, supervised by nintendo.

hmm...  nintendo losing their touch?  please!  sure they keep pummelling out great games year after year, but, i think theyre "losing their touch"...

wtf did that come from?

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Time Splitters 2.........How good is it?
« on: November 23, 2003, 05:17:30 PM »
"I still havn't played this game to date. Its very hard to find."

yeah, its hard to find if you dont look.  if you get up off your arse and look, its at nearly every gaming retail around.

its not that great, the multi-player is fun, and highly customizable.  the story mode DOES have co-op, but the levels are boring, the AI is mentally retarded, and, well, the story mode is laughable.  this, of course is no halo...  halo spanks on this like its his red-headed step child.  if youve got an xbox and halo, its hardly worth the purchase.
