I enjoyed the Dreamcast version, which is on my top 5 Japanese RPG list. I haven't played this version yet, though I'm thinking about picking it up.

Even if it's no improvement over the old version, I would still recomend it.

I think it is definitely overrated. Then again, I think today's FF series (From VII on) is way overrated. To me they're nothing but overdone FMV sequences linked together by weak gameplay. I'm not exactly thrilled by the typical Japanese version of RPGs on the whole. They're too  lead along for me. I prefer to have an actual role in my Role Playing Games.

FFVII (As someone else stated) fell apart about half way through. Even though I enjoyed it at first, I sat there after it was over thinking was that it? It never really came back together.

I must disagree with you on this one. I'm a big time racing fan & I absolutely hated this game. It stunk on Dreamcast (Metropolis Street Racer) and it wasn't much better on Xbox. I do know a lot of people love it (Especially on the TeamXbox forums). This is a love it or hate it game though. The graphics are okay and the variety in the races is very good. My problem was the racing itself... I found it to be a little less than mediocre. Rallisport Challenge & Sega GT are both much better in my opinion.

Yup, this is my first post! Is Xbox more powerful? Who cares? What matters is the games. I have an Xbox... I've had it since launch. I just got my 'Cube last weekend. I don't really care which system is the most powerful, as long as there's some good gaming to be had on it, it's fine with me.
