Nintendo Gaming / NO DISK error, all over again
« on: July 15, 2003, 05:03:12 PM »
I bought my cube used, so I should have expected problems. And it's out of warranty, so I'm in an even bigger pickle as it were.
Anywho, in case you couldn't tell, I'm getting no disk errors. Beyond the actual error, when I put a disk in, the laser head makes funny clicking noises (as though it were trying to move but can't) and I've noted that it's easy to move the laser head, as by accidentally pushing (it really was an accident, honest)
Anyone have a quick fix suggestion? I had a similar issue with a CD player and fixed that easy enough, but I think it's a little harder to open the gamecube than a CD player. Taking it to a repair shop is a last resort.
Thanks.
