OK, no more monitor crud...I'll just use the wonderful S-Video and this switch, I just wanted high quality for my Panasonic TV...and to use my DVD and Gamecube...and now I can use 2 more when I get anything.

General Gaming / S-Video Question

I was wondering, S-Video cable also has the 3 oth RCA connectors right, but you use the S-Video wire instead of the yellow RCA video connector right?

Anyone know a switch, that will at least allow me to use my DVD and Gamecube on my TV?

All I can find is switches with ONLY the S-Video inputs and no other inputs...like for monitors. One I found is $88 though...

General Gaming / Hooking up to a monitor

The reason being I don't want to buy a S-Video switch for $90, I'd rather have better quality for a lower price. Plus I dont have that kind've money...when you're 15...

General Gaming / RE: S-Video vs. RCA??

If your TV supports S-Video, GET IT! My DVD player uses it, and it KICKS ASS. It's SO DAMN SHARP!

In fact, I'll probably buy a S-Video.com S-Video switch...so I can use the DVD and Gamecube without plugging/uplugging wires.

General Gaming / Hooking up to a monitor

I searched and didn't find anything (on site), and need advice.

How to hook it up to a monitor? There are many ways, but I have no idea how

FYI, My monitor accepts BNC inputs.

If it's too complicated, I'll just buy some Stereo A/V cables for the GC...

PS. What cables COME with the GC?

Nintendo Gaming / RE: THIS is why I am lsing faith in the 'Cube.

I was going to get a XBox...but I decided on a cube. Why? Because it's SMALLER, and has better games.

I loved SSB, and I can't wait to fully play SSBM. I also am buying Red Faction II, 007 Nightfire, LOTR: T2T, and Metroid Prime. RFII is one of the best shooting games I've ever played...it's so fun.

So I think what you decide, that's for you...but Nintendo has its exclusive games and so does XBox...XBox was made mostly for adults, GC was directed at preteens-teens. Besides, for me, the only reason to get XBox was for Halo, but it's coming out for PC anyways, so I'll just buy it then.

Nintendo Gaming / Hooking up to a monitor?

I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with hooking GC up to a computer monitor?

I have a 21inch and I'll be buying a GC soon. My monitor has BNC connectors in the back, and they have the connectors for, I think, A/V inputs. One thing is though, I need a RCA-to-BNC coupler which runs me $12 for 3 of them, which isn't really a problem...

I think I could hook it up, but I was wondering if anyone's tried it before...
