My point was that for consumers Nintendo only kind of took away their choice

This is going to be my last post in the matter.

Nintendo's mindset right now is horribly behind and lacking. They cannot do everything to "protect" or moderate the content that their playerbase is exposed to. If Sony, Microsoft, Valve, and whomever else out there is having no trouble with keeping their users in line, then there's no reason Nintendo should put themselves in their own bubble. That bubble is making them look bad.

Nintendo needs to open up and Isaac would be a good step forward. Isaac has not caused controversies and people who really know about the game or at least familiar with it would try it out. Besides, there's parental controls.

To your other point. I'm not to concerned about choice as is because I don't know a single person that doesn't have a PC in their home and the developers can always release these games on PC. In fact with this game they did.

But it's not a PC-only release. These developers are interested in bringing the game out to as many people as possible and they're being exceptionally generous about it with a Steam pre-order loyalty discount and placed into the PlayStation Plus IGC at release.

As Nicalis and Edmund McMillen have said they would put the game on 3DS first chance they get, your comment comes off as incredibly rude.

Nintendo had set themselves up as the more family friendly video game option

So how do you explain the presence of multiple Resident Evil titles on the system? Shin Megami Tensei?

Quote
in the end I prefer it the way it is.

You prefer nobody having a choice instead of you simply not having to buy it?

I like and appreciate that Nintendo has chosen that they don't want this type of game on their system.

So you like it that Nintendo remains to be close-minded and out of touch with their fans, unlike Sony? You like it that there's less mature games to prevent an audience from enjoying them?
