Jainmb925: who you backin' up mate?
Topics of replies don't show up in this forum. Anyway, I think you're right about PS2 and XBOX losing focus what with the hype over ONLINE gaming. I'm sick of it. I'm a truly selfish gamer who doesn't even like playing multiplayer games at home and they're going to shove this online crap (that's probably just another stunt to extort more money from financially strained gamers) in my face.
I'm just glad Nintendo's got their priorities straight. They're not exploiting the macho factor that hooked many shallow gamers.
But I'll contradict myself. I have no qualms about Nintendo making games like Animal Crossing and Pokemon online. That way it'll be like interacting with real people in a town. Responses will be different and unpredictable. How cute! How greatly it will be appreciated by a queer like me!
But when it comes to war games that just involve boosting one's ego by mauling other players whose faces you can't even see... I think I'll pass and just play the highest difficulty level of Soul Calibur 2 or Virtua Fighter 4.

Oh hello! I'm new. Just like Mr. Willow over here, I'm a grad of Industrial Design. GameCube is... compact and light. I have no complaints about the design. (Everyone has taste, I think. What matters is if it's good or bad ) The controller is ergonomically correct for every user of any race.
Some of the folks here in my school joke around with the 80's-ism of PS2's look and the fact that you have to reboot twice to play a game is sad.
I already have a DVD player that is far more superior than the PS2's so my PS2's just for games or the soda cans. Besides, why would I favor a system which has a DVD player but has an inferior hardware? You can't shoot me for that comment. There are just too many limitations for game devlopers in the PS2. Neverhteless, it has exclusive games that I HAVE to play so  bought it.
I bought a GC because it was made by Nintendo and knowing Nintendo I'm not gonna see any of their games in other consoles soon so it's necessary for a gamer like me to buy it.

-->> If you're willing to shell out $300 more or less for a console with a DVD player, why not get a 'Q'? <<---
