I just bought a copy of International Design Magazine-August 2001 issue.
The issue is their 47th Annual Design Review. The winner for the consumer products category was the Mac G4 Cube.
Do you think Nintendo was inspired from the G4 Cube's Design? All I can say its fabulous! Injection Molded plastic with platinum case inside! Now that's SWEET!
When I was poking fun at Xbox's PC like abilities on my last post I didn't mean that a hard drive for consoles is wrong or bad. It was just an example ad that Nintendo could use to play dirty with Microsoft. But really if you look at it the Xbox is a PC! Have you ever heard of a console that can run Linux? What's worse is it can be run on Microsoft's system. Isn't that curious?
I'll say this now before anybody else, Nintendo's next console would probably still don't have DVD playback. Will it be backward compatible? I can't say but probably not.
What I do know is they'll probably make it more portable....imagine.
