after the huge disapoints of mario kart and chrystal chronicles, i have decided to rent all gamecube games before buying them.

i think that we often think the casual gamer cant play anything complicated.  but if you think about the two big casual gamer games, Madden and GTA, those arent exactly the simplest of games to pick up.  the more mature gamer has grown up with games and can probably figure things out.  

as far as advertising, Nintendo needs to look cool.  To be honest, they have never been the cool system.  Sega always one upped them in the cool deptartment.  Sony did, and now MS is doing it as well... the metroid prime ads made me not want to get the game, seeing a person in what looked like a foam suit was laughable... why not show game play set to cool hip music?  and like another said, give out some free stuff!

i agree, the more i watch family guy, the less funny it gets.  but the more i watch futurama, the funnier it gets.  i cant wait for season 3 on dvd...

as for fox... i gave up on them after they canceled firefly...

i got ssx3 for the ps2, i love it!

i worry that with 1080 for the gc will turn out like wave race for the gc.
just an updated version of the n64.  that wont cut it for me.

i might give it a rent when i have some time, but i am not expecting much.

is PD still slated as being more like MGS rather than GE?

i would imagine going the anime route would be to get better sales in japan...

PD2 has been so long in comming that i dont care anymore, i'll take halo2

if you dont mind just sitting back and advising, perhaps PIKMIN would be a good game.  SPYRO, SUPER MONKEY BALL and ZELDA are other good ones.

if you dont have pro-scan cables, holding down 'b' wont bring up the prompt.

when i first got the cables, i didnt notice a difference, then i went back to AV and S video, and i see the difference...

if the nextbox is simply a step up, that will probably be a strength for it... developers will already have a grasp on the system and can do more tweaks to their engines...   ps3 and the n5 if they use a whole new layout then devlopers will have to spend time getting used to the system and figuring out the highs and lows

i have all three system... and the ps2 is the one i play the least, although nba street2 has gotten a lot of play time from me.
gc is the next system, the only games i play are the ones that are exclusive to it, the first party and a few of the second party games...  the system i play the most is the xbox, there are just more games that are the games i want to play.
