I agree with Pokemon Director. Pokemon mean to be traditional and this is the reason why 2d sprite are good for them. Don't get me wrong, 3D pokemon like in Pokemon Battle Revolution also look awesome, but for a handle system like Nintedo DS, 2d pokemon with hand drawing as he said is better for the game itself. Pokemon always changing, that's why we never get bore with it like some online game for the PC. It is an interesting game because it is not addicted in a negative way but we always enjoy the challenge each time we play it. For the up coming Nintendo 3DS, I still hope that Pokemon company will add some more 3D factors and create a mixing between 2D and 3D technology as well. And one more thing, Pokemon is for hand held system which is go along with the trainer everywhere just like a digital pokeball, this's why it will be a terrible idea if pokemon become a MMO for PC system like another online game, it doesn't has anything to do with global trading and dream world which are good aspects of new generation though.
