General Gaming / RE:ITT: PSP Discussion
« on: April 05, 2005, 09:50:32 AM »
Does anyone know if 24: The Game, when released later this year, will be released on the PSP, or is it totally exclusive to PS2, not just Sony?

gtapsp.com, some fansite for GTA for PSP, says that "Analysis suggests that the game will feature a full 3D engine, although this remains unconfirmed." Does this mean that the game will be 3d like the ps2 versions, or 2d top view like the original GTA games for PC and GBA??

First off, I would like to say that I own a DS and have been a supporter of Nintendo ever since the release of the NES. I have never bought any other console except Sega Genesis. Now, the PSP looks good. I dont understand why people are arguing over which one is "better". I say, "Who Cares?" I dont care which one is better, because its debateable. PSP has good graphics and plays movies, but DS has two screens and a touch screen and can also play gba games. THats sweet. So I say..... get both. Then you can get the games you want for both systems and you dont have to worry about Nintendo's online playability if it never happens, though i hope it does, soon. I personally can't wait for games like lost in blue and viewtiful joe for the DS, and I also really want GTA and the ability to play movies on the PSP.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Hardware to port games to DS
« on: February 24, 2005, 02:52:11 PM »
yeah, i gues the idea is unpractical considering the about of emulation that would have to occur. It would also be nearly impossible to create one piece of harware that would have an SD card port, N64 Cart port , GBA cart port, NES cart port, SNES cart port, VB cart port, the thing would look like yoshi's boxx! It would be so cool, and also we could play our saved games!

See that's just the thing. Most of the titles nintendo picks to port aren't ones that I want. I want Goldeneye 64 and Starfox 64, I want Uniracers, I Want Perfect Dark. I don't want NES titles, except maybe Battletoads or .... see what I mean? I want to pick the titles I play.

Nintendo Gaming / Hardware to port games to DS
« on: February 24, 2005, 02:06:53 PM »
Nintendo really ought to release hardware to port games from other systems to the DS. We all know that the system can handle N64 games, and many of us would like to see ports in the future. It is unfathomabl to think, however, that Nintendo will port every game that we want to see on the DS. Personally, I want many N64 games on the DS, i would rather have ports than new games. Anyway, Nintendo should release some sort of hardware and blank SD cards so that we can port NES, SNES, Virtual Boy, N64, adn Game Boy games onto SD cards that we can play in the DS. I think this would be an amazing money making opppurtunity for Nintendo, and would offer all gamers the ability to play any and all of their favorites on the DS, since titles are scarce as of now. They could charge any price for this hardware I would pay nearly anything for it.

I went to a bela fleck and the flecktones concert two days ago. Geez, they are the best. THey are sooooooo good talent wise. They play bluegrass/jazz. even if you say you don't like that kind of music, you will like the flecktones. My favorite songs are hoedown, sinister minister and stomping grounds

General Chat / .SHN downloading
« on: July 22, 2003, 02:34:52 PM »
Recently I've been downloading .shn files from a website. I want to put the files on CD. I'm trying to use MKWact to convert the files. I believe i have all the necessary components. i know the files work since i've listened to them usin SHNamp on WINamp. But every time i try to do it a message comes up that says "Error reported by Shorten: No Magic Number" what is a magic number? how do I get one? i used this exact software with my old computer, using the same website and everything, except it doesn't work ths time. I'm running on a windows XP, as was my old computer. Actually, it was the same computer, but we had to reload windows due to extensive problems with the drives. If anyone could help that would be great. Thanks.

I play Ocarina, violin/fiddle, and saxaphone. My brother plays trumpet, guitar, bass, drums, and piano. I also tried guitar, i know like 4 chords, and bass, but i can only play one song- all along the watchtower; but it's not as fun as a bluegrass instrument. Those rock! Who plays Banjo?

General Gaming / The Disc Cover

So,

My friend is playing my cube and he steps on it or something. Anyway, the open button is smashed down, so the lid wont latch shut, therefore I can't play. Cool, Huh! I've tried fiddling with the black latch that holds the top down, but alas with no positive output. THe Cube still reads and runs discs properly if i put something of any weight on top to hold the top down, but I don't want that to fall off and ruin a saved game. Does anyone know how to fix the black latch?

"welcome back my friends,

We're so glad you could attend
come inside, come inside"

Oldie but goodie

i realized that people who don't have a gamecube criticize those who do by saying that GC doesn't have a DVD player or good games. When i rebuttle by saying that Zelda WW is the best game ever, they reply by saying "the graphics suck, they made it stupid", while i like the graphics. So i say that Animal Crossing is also a good game, but they say it's too kiddie. So... It goes on like that. But what people don't realize is that ps2 has no good games that are exclusive, and you can count the number if xbox exclusives on one finger. So I say, "what is a good game for xbox?" they say, Halo. I say, name another and they go "Uhhhhhh." exactly. I just wanted to put that up. Do these types of conversations happen to y'all?

Nintendo Gaming / nintendo's next system
« on: June 11, 2003, 08:38:35 AM »
I don't think the hard drive is very good. I think it should have memory cars, since they are mobile and can be taken to other people's houses if you want to play with a friend, etc. But, I think 1 mem card should be able to hold alot, like 20 games, unlike the mem card 59 which can only hold one game (animal crossing). I know you can't make memory cards as big as hard drives, but they should be big enough so you only need like 2 for every game.
