Nintendo Gaming / GameShark...Worthwhile?

Hello everyone.  I just have a quick question.  I've never owned a GameShark before, for any system.  But I've heard about codes to get the older PokeMon on R/S and I was wondering if it would be worth using.  Is the GameShark reliable?  I know that Nintendo will release the older PokeMon someday, but I want them now.  I just don't want to mess up my R/S or even my SP.  Any help would be great.  Thanks, neo

Hello everyone.  This is my first time on the boards, though I've been reading them for a while.  This hasn't been brought up as far as I know, but I wanted to see what you guys thought?  I love PokeMon, it's one of the reasons that I have kept my GBC back in the day.  Now I would never part with R/S or my SP I feel a little let down.  Where is Bulbasaur?  Charmander? Squrtile?  Pidgeotto?  Lugia?  and I could go on and on.  Now, maybe I have missed something and these PokeMon can be found somewhere/somehow, but if I'm correct WHY?  I have played though 5 hours so far and finally got a "GeoDude" I like Mudkip, but other than that I'm not real happy with the PokeMon.  I dunno, maybe it's just me.  I just thought I'd put this out there.  Thanks for readin.  neo
