anyone here actually play four swords. And i have been looking on websites, when i found 1gb carts. Thats why i mentioned it. And it doesnt have to be high qualtiy mpeg4, since gba has about 260x180 res. It can use low quality videos where no one would know the difference on such a small scree. And scome onwho wouldnt love to go to school and just pop in a cart adn watch half-baked. Now all i wanna know is whos comming with me man, who comin iwth me.

i just recently played the two towers for gba, it had a full motion video before the game. It looked very nice, with the size of screen taken into considertaion,  if they could harness large 1gb gba carts' they could make full length movies, where the qualtiy could matter on small screes ( for example high resolutions) probably not possible due to mass prodcution of carts, but how sweet watching move really on the go ?? any comments please post,

Nintendo Gaming / **NOT OFFICIAl!!** New handheld sytem!
« on: March 08, 2003, 06:11:39 PM »
Me and my friend have had an idea. a new system being co-released with the hopeful, very hopeful gamecube 2. It will be a portable system using a new small type of dvd's. It is made by philips, ( maybe a conincidence to the philips gc disks heh) and its called blue wave technology. The size of the drive is like follows

...........................................
                                         |
                                         |
                                         |
                                         |
                                         |
                                         |
..........................................|

Now think of the size of the gba cartdige, go ahead, hold it up to the screeen, those are real mesauremtns. That is the size of the drive, which hold the cd inside. The cd can hold approx 1gb of space at present time!!. Now think in 3 years the power of pocket pcs. The code and structure put into the shear power of pocket pcs can make a handheld capaable of at least ps2 graphics or more, IN A HANDHELD. Now like i said, this is not a rumour i heard, nor official. Just and idea me and my friend thought of. Just imagine a gba with a cd drive on top with sweet graphics.

Nintendo Gaming / What are the plans for Serial Port #2?
« on: February 27, 2003, 01:42:34 PM »
well, xbox came with pretty much every addon possible for todays systems. And all of ps2's expansions are used. And that didnt come it to use until 2 years after release. I think nintendo isnt stupid, as everyone knows. They would have it there for nothing. The n64used the unused slot, after it was out for about 3 years. I think the port has a firewire/usb type connectivity. That means to me, that they can develop several types of devices for the gamecube. It could be for anything. They planned the first 2, so maybe they added another just incase. So if you had everything plugged in, you would have to unplug something to use this new add-on that everyone is wondering about. But i think the options are open until they absolutely know the most important add-on to stay is the console wars as long as possible.

hopefully, to stay in the console wars, the last port is used for a large capacity storage device. also knows as a hard drive, for simpletons.

Nintendo Gaming / new gamcube controller.
« on: February 26, 2003, 12:29:52 PM »
lets begin. i have to admit right now, gamecube has horrible first-person setup on thier controllers. Using the c-pad to aim is so frustrating. Its just no big enough. Original xbox controllers were good but they remade them almost exactly alike, but smaller. They are really good for fps games. PS2 has also good controllers for first-person shooters. If anyone agrees, post here. I think nintendo should remake thier controllers in the favor of fps gamers, who will buy fps games on gamecube, if i cn master them. all i ask is that the c-button, right now its just a lump, be enlarged almost like the joystick. The cpad base needs more moving space at least, it also needs to be controlled easier. anyone think this would work, or suvck. POST IT HERE !

Nintendo Gaming / Dust off the ol' 64 games.
« on: February 25, 2003, 11:25:58 AM »
no, megabytes, not bits. Transer rates are measured in bits. for example, nintendo 64, 64 BITS, not bytes.

i want to make one point, before anyone posts anything else

n64 cartridge holds approx. 256 megabytes

gamecube disk holds 1500 megabytes.

only about 6-8 games could be squeezed on according to thier size, 40 would be impossible for classic games, like the most likely 200 meg zelda

when they are including the old ocorina of tim with the gc budle, i am confused. When they added them are they the same low resolution n64 games, ported directly to gc, or are they new high res games taking advantage of the POWERFUL gamecube !!?!?!?

The point is not to make a classics disk, but let people play thier old n64 games on 1 system with gamecube games, so they DONT have to buy all the disks, if they make them, with all the games they already own. Its a conveeniv=nce thing, not a thing that is a blood sucker for your wallet. !!!!!!!!!

For super nintendo, the system was powerful enough to support gamebuy games.

For the nintendo 64 games it was powerful enough to do it to.

With the gamecube being more powerful then both together, and lots more, why dont they make a nintendo 64 adapter for the gamecube.
They are already in development for the gameboy/advance link for the gamecube, why not 64 ? ? ? ?
