General Gaming / Total Xbox Losses?

I'm sad to say that:

MicroSoft's  Net earning for the 12 month period ending in Dec 2002 was $9,541 Mil.
MicroSoft's  Net Earning for the 12 month period ending in Dec 2001 was $6,083 Mil.

I don't think they would have a problem losing a couple of millions on the x-box if they have a slight chance to domenate the market   Plus they generate lots of money from other divisions and other investments which would make the xbox loss to them nothing

Is it true that Mr. Yokoi left Nintendo after the failure of his innovative  creation the "Vitrual Boy"?
