Baah, I've stayed up untill 5:00 A.M. in the morning thanks to that awesome game. Sure was tired in school the next day, but it was all worth it.

But a major disappointment in the game is that whenever a "non-boss" enemy hits you, it'll only take you down one heart at the most, even for those big piggey spear carriers.

P.S. If you want to face a real hard ass pig, fight the fat one on Outset. One hit from him takes you down three hearts.

Nintendo Gaming / April Fool's Jokes taken a bit too...
« on: April 16, 2003, 03:39:57 PM »
Have you seen the April Fools joke in the EGM magazine. Turns out, in the codes section, they put up a little section-ma-jiggy on an Xbox Volleyball game (the characters were the same female characters from one of the Dead or Alive games). Well, anyway, they gave an awesome code that should have made all the women in the game topless. Well, since most people that got that pointless game were perves, they tried it out and found that it didn't work and people started to complain to EGM. APRIL FOOLS to those little perves. The next issue of EGM revealed the secret that disappointed some.

To tell you the horrible truth, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A GOOD SPORTS GAME THAT EXISTS ON ANY CONSOL TO THIS DATE! *weazes in pain* Arrgh, sorry, I had to get that out. Wow, it feels as if a gigantic and poopey weight has been murdered off my shoulders. *sighs in relief*

But anyway, I would suggest going outside and playing the game for real. Just a thought.

Hmm, I'd have to say:

1) Wind Waker
2) Metroid Prime
3) Super Smash Bros. Melee
4) Ehh.......If you're a Mario fan, try Super Mario Sunshine
5) Luigi's Mansion. It's a bit short, but pretty fun
6) The Ocarina of Time (I don't think you can get those anymore)
...
...
...
...
137) Star Fox Adventures

Don't get Star Fox Adventures, it sucked! Basically it was a Rare patented "Collectathon". Plus, the inappropriate colors (colours) will give you a head ache.

I thought this post was about how great WW was, not about what Evil said.

But anyway, I think this game rocked! Too bad I can't find the Tingle Island treasure chart and 3 other heart peices. *sigh*

The graphics were superb no matter what anyone says. *flips the bird at Xbox-loving friend* And I cryed out in delight to see how awsome that final parry was. *tries to reinact it but hits face on wall*

I definitely thought that Wind Waker (WW) beat the poop out of Star Fox Adventures (SFA).

First reason: SFA colors gave me a headache.

Second: SFA was just as easy as WW in the action category, but when it came to adventure, WW took first with flying colors (and not ones that gave me migranes).

Third: There were only a few extra items to find on SFA such as the bigger magic bars (I've found everything). I found those easily and usually by accident. However, on WW, I have 19.25 hearts and I still can't find 3 heart peices and a treasure chart. In SFA, a broader energy (life) bar came with the stone things you had to find.

Fourth: SFA's game play seemed to be made up of souly taking one object to another place and travelling half way across a planet just to obtain some stupid object. WW only had a bit of that when you had to collect the 8 triforce peices.

Fifth and final: WW final boss fight consisted of 4 tight phases and the last one with Ganondorf rocked 'cause Ganon had combos (and Link's final parry was pretty cool, too.......krrrrrrrshwing-kastab).

Oh, well, I've got both games but I've definitely got Zelda stacked higher on my GC game pile.

Nintendo Gaming / Worst GC game ending
« on: April 12, 2003, 07:12:08 PM »
Well, I don't know if anyone mentioned this before in the previous replies, but the worst game ending EVER was beating Super Mario Sunshine after finally collecting 120 shines.

I spent many a day trying to find two queer* blue coins on the Pianta Village world. I finally just gave up looking, went to my local Blockbuster store, and mooched a peek off of a Super Mario Sunshine strategy guide. Once I got the two buggers, I beat the game and pissed my pants in a horrific and disappointed rage.

---SPOILER ALERT---

Instead of seeing the "Racing Pianta" (I can never remember his name) at the end of the credits, you see a bunch of nokis, piantas, and Mario's little gang of friends saying "Have a great vacation" (Or something like that). Come on, GRRR, GEEZ!!!!!!!!!!

I mean, Super Mario Sunshine (SMS) was a tight and pretty awesome game when it came to it's adventure quality, but I spent many hours on that game only to be rewarded with a queer* little photograph.

*strange
