Mouse Clicker maybe 16 now, but anyhoo, I'm 15 as of right now, so I too have nothing better to spend my money on than electronics. I've got a digital camera so I can post pics of my room, I just need someone to tell me how and where to post them.

Anyways, I'll describe it for you. The house is new, so of course, its got really small bedrooms. I think mine measures in at 12'x11'. The walls are painted a light gray, and everything else is either black or gray, but non of it is depressing, lol. I have my bed in the corner next to my dresser. I have a metal black shelf, and then I have several shelves and whatnot on my walls. Then finally, I have my gaming system set up catty-corner (I think thats how you spell "catty"). Ontop of my gray table is a 20" flatscreen with enough inputs to plug in my GCN, XBOX, PS2, N64, and Dreamcast. Under the TV, beneath the table is my collection of 30 or so strategy guides (yeah, I know, guides are for pansies, but I do it more for the collection). Next to this is my drawer of N64 games which holds 24 in one, and 11 in the other, for a total of 35 64 games. Next to this is my collection of Nintendo Power magazines since 1998. Then a rack ontop of that that holds my 11 controllers. Next to that is another shelf which houses my systems, 32 GCN games, 8 XBOX games, 10 PS2 games, 7 Dreamcast games, and a few GameBoy games. It also holds the charging cradle for my Palm Tungsten T3. Throughout my room I have a collection of video game, matrix, and nightmare before christmas action figures, toys, and collectibles. My room also can got cosmic with my glitter lamp, lava lamp, optic lights, black lights, string lights, electricity thingies (thechnical term) and whatnot. Pretty nice collection if I do say so myself. Nothing amazing, but cool notheless. Still missing a PC, but I plan on getting a FragBox by November for the Matrix Online.

Sega Soccer Slam is pretty good. Extremely over-looked. It has some good concepts, just a bit shallow. Pretty fun if you have a bunch of players. It reminds me a lot of Mario Kart 64. Its not very deep, but it has tons of replay value if you have friends to play it with. Jus' FYI.

General Chat / RE:If you think StarWars sucks...
« on: April 10, 2004, 02:18:26 PM »
Personally, I think Knights of the Old Republic is one of the finest Star Wars stories  produced. Have any of you guys played it? There are memorable characters, great dialog and voice acting, amazing and interesting locals, an intriguing story, and for a video game, cool special effects, plus one heck of a plot. If they could get the people who did the voices to act the parts, I think that would make a finer movie than either the two prequels, and would be at the very least on par with the original trilogy.

I'm not trying to dis the new trilogy. I find them quite entertaining. It's just that judging from what many others think, they could be a lot better. But I've got a question- Who doesn't like the new trilogy? Is it those who like Star Wars, and dont find it as exciting as the old trilogy, or is it the die-hard "look at me, I'm a Wookie!" Star Wars fans that began camping out at the movie theater in China for episode three the day episode 2 came out?

TalkBack / RE:Nintendo Reveals "Third Pillar"!
« on: January 21, 2004, 11:48:52 AM »
Well, Considering that atleast 1 CPU is running on an ARM9 proccessor, I can confidently say this will be 3d capable, as Tapwave's Zodiac runns on the exact same thing. However, the Zodiac also has a dedicate ATI Imageon graphics card. Besisdes, Sony has been releasing specs lately that the PSP's graphics are going to be closer to PS2 more than PSOne. So, I don't think these will be fighting head-to-head. Although I do believe these will both be around $250-$300. Don't flame me just yet!
Nintendo has something up its sleeves. I can smell it. I mean something big. This just released announcment isn't what we've been waiting for, but rather we are all still waiting. Ninty's plans for the DS could be a complete failure, but I doubt it. There's more to this announcment than meets the eye. This DS isn't going to be a quick cash-in. It's going to be THE product that shows Nintendo can innovate, and do it well.
You can quote me, and flame me later down the road. But, Nintendo has much more in store for the DS than we could ever imagine.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:is anybody else excited for V.Joe as much as me
« on: September 27, 2003, 08:03:47 PM »
No, a job is the exchange of time for money. Why in the world would you work?! Not a very logical thing to do if you ask me...

Anyhoo, yeah, VJ is just about the most awesome game I've ever seen/played. I bought the demo at the start of summer, and immediatley fell in love with it. Only problem is I've spent all my money on F-Zero, SCII, and MG:Toadstool Tour. The little bobblehead looks cool, do you get that when you pre-order, or when you purchase the game. Also, are you implying that the game only costs 40 bucks instead of 50? That could help out...

Nintendo Gaming / RE: "N5" design ideas
« on: September 06, 2003, 10:03:06 PM »
I think it should dispense soda...call it the um... GAMEFRIDGE. Yeah, that would sell. Hey it's a better idea than PSP's built in 7.1 surround sound for the guy on Ripley's Believe it or Not with 7 ears whom must wear headphones with 7 outputs.

I must agree with Ian Sane, the N5 must include what the competitors have. Oh, and are you tryin to say you'll buy N5 on launch for $200, but you'd wait if it cost $300. If that's the case, than you are no fan of Nintendo. And besides, GC launched at $200, and look where that got them...3rd place in the console wars. So even if they we're in 3rd, but launched at $300, they still would of had better profits.

General Gaming / RE: Official Nokia N-Gage Discussion
« on: September 06, 2003, 09:43:55 PM »
I was reading a impression on a website some time during E3, and they said when they asked a representative for the N-Gage how long battery life would be when playing games online, he said only an hour and a half! Which is obviously very short, but I bet it probably takes like 10 minutes to connect, 10 minutes to get into a game, and 10 minutes to figure out what the other players are doing, and by then, you've got and ENTIRE HOUR to play, lol. No, I won't buy it because it reminds me of *cough, virtual boy, cough*, Even though I love my precious Virtual Boy I spent $280 for, just to have my friend by it at a pawn shop a year later for $20. Now, as for PSP, that's a different story...

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Component Video Cable
« on: September 06, 2003, 08:54:32 PM »
Well I've got a 20" Toshiba Flat tube TV with component input, thats not HD. And I currently connect my GC to the TV with the component cables, and I must say that there is definitly a huge difference between that and using anolog cables (red, yellow, white). I've never used GC with S-Video, so Im not positive of the difference, but I do connect my PS2 with SVideo. And while I can't say it makes the PS2 games look much better, it does increase DVD pic quality. Anyhoo, I'd say if you're happy with how the picture looks using S-Video, don't bother shellin' out $30+ for component cables, but if you really desire the best or you have some extra cash (which, with GC's holiday line up I don't see how having extra $$$ is even possible, lol) then go for it. And besides, I've got a 56" Widescreen HDTV downstairs, and so whenever I have pals over we go down there, and let me tell you, progressive scan rocks. Too bad GC doesn't support 720p or 1080i. What I'm saying, is allways prepare for the future. There's no telling what TV you might have a year or two down the road.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Rumors back FF VII & XII
« on: September 06, 2003, 08:41:33 PM »
Could you imagine a FFVII remake done by Silicon Knights?! That would be pretty nice IMO. I don't think we're gonna get anymore FF games on the GC. Maybe on N5. Besides, isn't FFXII due for release in like 2005 anyway? I could be wrong, but If it does come out around then, it would make a pretty sweet N5 launch game.

Oh, I liked FF7, hated 8, and thought FF9 was the best. And of course, all the ones before 7 rocked my world, and no, Chocobo Racing for PSOne doesn't count.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Half Life 2 on the N5!!
« on: September 01, 2003, 04:34:15 PM »
No good FPS on consoles?! Goldeneye *cough* Halo *cough* Perfect Dark *cough* TimeSplitters 2 *end of cough*

I must agree with mouse_clicker, PC FPS and console FPS are way different in terms of gameplay mechanics. But the way keyboards and mouse accessories are becoming needed more on consoles, I wouldn't be suprised if they're standard on N5 and PS3.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: N5 Launch Games List!
« on: August 31, 2003, 05:16:36 PM »
Okay, I think what Nintendo needs more than anything on their next system is better MARKETING!!! I mean , not only should the marketing be stylish, but it should come early. Lets say the N5 comes out the summer of 2005. Well, could you imagine watching the Super Bowl and the very first commercial to come on is one for N5. I can see it now. Millions of people are sittng in front of their T.V. A commercial pops on. It's a black screen, with the words Nintendo written in the center. Two second clips from some of Nintendo's most well known franchises appear, with the sound of a heart beating in the background. As the beting gets faster, so do the game clips. After the first 15 seconds 2nd and 3rd party games begin to appear. Some "Kiddie" others extremely dark and gritty. The screen gets black again, the N5 logo appears with the words -comming this summer- wriiten below. And the sound of a long buzz like that beside a a hospital bed when someone dies is all you hear. And now you've just reached about every person in the U.S. and they all want Nintendo's next sytem.

I think launch games should be like so: Have Nintendo create new franchises for launch, but use franchises form 2nd and 3rd party to get hype. So I'd mae a launch ist like this:

Completely original Nintendo creation that's rated T at the least.
Too Human
Resident Evil 5
Pilot Wings (Online)
Ridge Racer (7?) (online)
Realistic Zelda
Final Fantasy 13 (Exclusively for N5)
Grand Theft Auto 4
Wave Race 3 (online)
An EA BIG game, and a wie array of sport titles.
Virtua Fighter 5
Sonic Adventure 3

That gives mature, pre-teens, and children all something to look forward to. Plus you've now thrown in some big franchises into the launch, without sacrificing franchises to be released later. Through out the next year Nintendo should ressurect all its old franchises like Kid Icarus, Earthbound, Ice Climber's, etc. 3rd parties should handle filler games and sports titles, and second parties should handle online games and amazing graphics. Then the year afte that, Nintendo should give gamers Mario, Pikmin, F-Zero, etc.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: "N5" design ideas

Lets's give it wireless electricity power, the ability to launch nuclear missiles towards Iraq, a microphone that connects you directly to both the President of the United States, and the President of Nintendo, a secret IR device that automatically searches for and destroys any Sony or Microsoft product that comes within a 20 foot perameter, an extra long handle for extra tall people, a controller that is made from a liquid metal that can mold to any pair of hands, and 350 controller ports.

Sorry, I just really had to get that out of my system. In all reality, I think the N5 should should try to only be revolutionary, not eveolutionary. I dont think the general public is ready to take on Virtual Reality, special goggles, or hard to set up wireless ntworking for GameBoy. I think the N5 should include everything the competitors include with their consoles, and more. I don't mind if it costs the same as the other systems at launch, anyone who's willing to spend $200 at launch will spend $300. I think for online, a broadband adapter should be included, but should be swappable with the modem adapter currently available for Gamecube. Online games should be available at launch, and servers should be in place that won't crash an hour after launch. I can guarentee Sony will have a Final Fantasy ready for launch, Microsoft will more than likely have a Halo 3, so Nintendo NEEDS to have a Mario or Zelda ready at lunch. IR ports for wireless controllers sould be built into the console. Nntendo shouldn't try to make the console evolutionary, but instead they should make their games evolutionary.

Yeah, I bought both. I played more F-Zero at first, but after bringing Soul Calibur II to a friend's house and beating Weapon Master, I seem to play more SC2 now. Hey, The Perm, how do you get Lizard Man?

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Why Nintendo?
« on: August 31, 2003, 01:11:57 PM »
My list:

GC: Vietiful Joe. NFS: Underground, Prince of Persia
PS2: Final Fantasy X-2, RPG Maker 2
GBA: FF Tactics Advance, Boktai The Sun is in your Hands

I've already got Soul Calibur II and F-Zero GX, so those are covered. Now of course there are other games I want, but I know I can get all those for Christmas, any more and I may be pushing my luck. I'm only 14, so I pretty much relly on holidays to get games, and report cards and lawn mows =)

Anyone know when Custom Robo 2 is commin' to the States?

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Will GAmeCube Drop too 99 dollars?
« on: August 27, 2003, 08:03:33 AM »
Is anyone else out there mad that video game companies continually drop the price of games and systems. I know it's business, but If I were to have waited on buying my Cube and games up untill right now, I could have saved several hundred dollars.

But here I am complaining, and buying F-Zero GX and Soul Calibur II now, when I know in six months I could probably buy them both for the price of one. But hey, buying a game the day it comes out makes me "cool", doesn't it?

21
Nintendo Gaming / RE: F-Zero where are you?I
« on: August 26, 2003, 12:55:30 PM »
Well, I just called my local GameStop, and they said they have copies in right now. (the 26th) So, I'm gonna run up there later tonight. The stores near me usually recieve games late, so this is Extra Special.

I live in Idependence, MO, just fyi.

22
Well, I've been alive for 464,460,120 seconds, excluding my pre-birth state. That makes me 14 years old (15 in January). I waited in line for 5 hours at a 24 hour Wal*Mart to buy my shiney jet black Gamecube. I will own 23 games by the weekend, cause I'm getting Soul Calibur II and F-Zero GX. I currently own:

Animal Crossing
Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance
Batman Vengence
Bomberman Generations
Enter the Matrix
Zelda: OoT
Zelda:WW
Luigi's Mansion
Mario Party 4
Metroid Prime
Phantasy Star Online
Pikmin
Spider-man
Splinter Cell
Spyhunter
Star Fox: Adventures
Star Wars: Rouge Leader
Super Mario Sunshine
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Timesplitters 2
...and...er... the Preview Disc...which counts as a game...

My fovorite out of those has to be SSBM, or PSO, or EtM...or...um...I like all my games. This Christmas I'm asking for Viewtiful Joe, Prince of Persia, and Need for Speed: Underground. Then there's games for my PS2 I want, like Ape Escape 2, and Final Fantasy X-2, and AGB such as Boktai and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance.

I'd say I got a pretty nice game collection for my age. GCN, PS2, N64, Dremcast, Gameboy Advance SP, a Palm m505, Toshiba Flat tube TV and 300 watt sound system in my room. But my downstairs is where its at: 56 inch Widescreen 720p 1080i HDTV and 700 watt Kenwood Pro Logic II, Dolby DTS surround setup.

To bad none of my friends seem to be as in to video games as myself. Because then I'd have the all night gaming parties some repliers earlier mentioned.

Nintendo Gaming / i have a dream!
« on: July 19, 2003, 06:20:49 PM »
I think that asking for 100% MOBILE online gaming for the GameBoy is way too much to ask for from Nintendo at the moment. But as for the tunneling, well, there used to be an accessory for the GB Color that allowed you to send and recieve e-mails with your handheld. It was developed by InterAct. You just plugged the cartridge into the game slot, and it was connected to a phone wire you inserted in to the wall. Well, if that could be done 2+ years ago, then someone could find a way to develope a wire that one end went to the ext. slot, and the other end went to the phone jack, and create some software to go along.
