Nintendo Gaming / Gamecube console, profit from day one?
« on: February 13, 2003, 05:08:05 PM »
RockPowers, my dad sells computer parts for a living, and I work along side him once in a while. In my entire time there, I hardly see Hard Drive prices drop or increase. I do not know how you can say the 10GB Hard Drive price drops DAILY, when my dad sells it at the same amount weekly.

On the original PGC forums, many people stated that the Gamecube cost $100 to make, hence they made $50 every console sale.

I'm guessing those figures are incorrect after hearing what you said.

You can find a video of all 5 Capcom games on their official Capcom/Gamecube site.

I would link you, but I think I'd be breaking the rules.

Viewtiful Joe is scheduled sometime in September 2003.
PN.0.3. is scheduled sometime in the summer.

RE and Killer 7 are 2004.

I am uncertain about Dead Pheonix.

That's because some of us are such hardcore fans, we just have to have the games. And all of 'em.

If the first one was where they had the top view of the bus, and the side scrolling levels in between. That was the best.

A few things on my list that RE should do for it to finish of the series (If it is finishing off the series)

1) Extremely Hard! And I'm not just meaning hard, I want every bullet to count, ever herb to heal, and every bad guy to be as hard as Nemesis. I want to spend months on this game, and enjoy the last series.
2) More spoofs. By spoofs, I mean as you walk down a hall, a hand pops out of the window, yanking you at the window. You jump out of your seat to see you've had a near chance of a hear attack.
3) All types and varieties of enemies. The majority of the game is zombies, they should improve on it and change it soo all types of objects are affected. I'd really like to see a swarm of ants, cats with fierce claws, etc. Add variety, and make this game unlike any other.
4) An almost unbeatable boss without a perfect attempt. I want this to be a Nemesis/Tyrant/Virus ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ mix.
5) I also want it to disclose the whole series once and for all. No extra viruses, this is it. Leave no chance for an opening to another part.
6) Two disc game filled to the max. With the RE 1 remake, that only used about 10% (I'm guessing) of the second disc. Capcom should capitalize on the second disc and use it to its full capabilities.

More to come...

This game looks amazing. Although by the teaser video, it leaves it open for the gameplay to FPS, or the even bigger difference, non-still backgrounds (I forget the words for it). This could add a whole new dynamic to the game, and take the series to another level if Capcom could somehow do this.

I just can't wait for this game, unfortunately it is scedhuled in 2004, so we got a long way to go.

Nintendo Gaming / Surprise new Nintendo game in March?
« on: February 08, 2003, 08:56:33 AM »
As a topic on IGN spurred a dream game would be Nintnedo vs. Sega, like the Capcom vs. SNK series.

Of course this would be SSBM style, not the Capcom vs. SNK style

(P.S. what does SNK stand for?)

Nintendo Gaming / multi-disc games?
« on: February 08, 2003, 08:51:03 AM »
When you say an extra $1 to make the disc, imagine how many they make. Multiply that by 500,000 and you got an extra $500,000 to spend for an extra disc. Companies would rather compress, and maybe eliminate some of the features to save that cash. Bigger companies like Capcom, may go the extra mile.

Nintendo Gaming / Anybody else looking forward to TMNT game?

Word on the streets says you can get the Zelda bonus disc today.

Retailers have had them for days.  Web retailers like Ebworld.com and Gamestop.com have already shipped.

We've received an internal e-mail from a "well known retail chain" employee that gave them the green light to distribute the discs now.

Stores in on the deal are currently breaking the release date for the Zelda bonus disc.  Call your local retailer to see if you can get your pre-order bonus early!

Naw, they should make the hard difficulty in MP 1, and use that as an easy difficulty in MP 2.

Well, the only thing I'd look more forward to in MP 2 is more strategic puzzles, specially with the morph ball. I absolutely loves those puzzles, and adding tons of them will make the game longer lasting and harder.

Plus, a harder difficulty. MP 1 was just oo damn easy.

(P.S. I don't see why Meta-Ridey is considered the hardest boss. I actually killed him easily, he'd go under one of my easier bosses list. The last boss seemed hardest to me, heh.)

Nintendo Gaming / Nintendo, the dare devil?
« on: February 01, 2003, 05:54:03 PM »
As you have seen in the past and the present that Nintendo is the only company to take the big risks in game production.

A prime example is Zelda: The Wind Waker, where they established a new graphics scheme, and many have followed suit. Another would have to be the onslaught of incredible games, inlcuding Pikmin.

Nintendo sets the standards to new innovations in the gaming industry, IMHO.
