TalkBack / Prima to Publish Code Books for Action Replay
« on: February 26, 2003, 08:10:04 AM »
What's the point of making a book with codes for an item that isn't out?  The GCN AR is well past due, and no one at Datel can give a straight answer.

TalkBack / Zelda Bonus Disc Details
« on: February 14, 2003, 07:24:52 AM »
My Babbage's here in Fayetteville (NC) is claiming that they can't give out the Bonus Discs until those who pre-ordered (which I did, paid in full, in fact) pick their Wind Waker up.  Now what in the hell is the point of that?  That defeats the purpose of the pre-order incentive, especially considering that there is a Wind Waker preview on the bonus disc.  What's the point of getting the bonus disc with OoT & Master Quest & WW preview when you pick up the game, when you'll not be playing any of those, since you'll have WW?  Sheer idiocy.  And I know they have their discs in, as one of my coworkers is very tight with several employees over there.

TalkBack / Mad Catz and Fire Respond to Pelican Lawsuit
« on: February 14, 2003, 07:18:11 AM »
First of all, MAD CATZ is NOT the industry leader in 3rd party peripherals.  They make cheap garbage that more often than not DON'T WORK.  We don't even by MAD CATZ products from our customers due to the 90% return rate from our customers that have bought these items from us in the past.

Secondly, GameShark is nothing more than the NA name of Datel/Recoton's Action Replay.  These guys may get sued by more than just Pelican if it's found that they didn't actually design their own enhancement device, but merely copied Datel's copyrighted technology/programming.

ARGH!
