Hmm we have had the tech to play Multi-Player between separate platforms for a long time...

I have a whole library of games that I can play with PC/Linux users (On my Mac) and even a couple that will play with the Dreamcast.  Its just that dev's are stubborn sometimes and wont adopt a standard....who knows if they will with this either.

Well, they are using a modified IBM PPC 750 aka G3 right now in the GC...I bet they will do something similiar with the brand new G5 in the GC2.

IBM has spent 3 billion dollars building the new plant that produces the G5 (PPC 970), so far it is used in IBM's Linux Blade servers and in Apple's new Powermacs,  I am betting they are looking for as money customers as they can get though to justify the R&D cost on it though.

I dunno, quite a few cool new features.  CO powers have 2 stages, More CO's, New Campaign, More Maps, new Unit, sprite editing (atleast color)....sounds worth it to me

Course I only got Advance Wars a couple months ago, so still alot of stuff for me to do in that.

Just reading the screen dimensions I can tell I will hate the PSP.  4.5 inches? Way to big for portable.  I thought the GBA was to big... The SP is the best portable to date IMHO.  

I think portables need to stick to mainly 2d gaming.  For it truely to be called portable I think it needs to be able to slip into a pocket and not be a problem.  With 3d games you need a larger screen, which is what the PSP is doing...but the larger screen immediatly takes away the small portable size.  I just cant see a portable based entirely around 3d gaming being a very viable system.  Course I couldnt stand the PS1 either.....spent more time loading than playing.

I wish I would have bought it sooner.  First GB game I have truely been addicted to.  Went through 3 charges of my SP in 4 days when I got it.

Am I the only one who thinks 4.5 inches is not very portable?  Hell..the GBA was a lil to big for me, I find the SP is the first handheld that is truely portable.  With its folding design and small size I can play games anywhere.  4.5 inches..then buttons..man this thing is gonna be UGLY.

The only thing offensive about how the Germans were portrayed was how bad they sucked in Frontline

Seriously though..as long as the game doesnt go into politics (games shouldnt) its just soldiers fighting soldiers.
Personally..I am always upset by the vast majority of WWII shooters on Consoles  and PC, since I am such a WWII Buff they are always to "casual gamer"

First off,this is NOT intended to be a flame.  I understand why the Xbox is consting MS and that they can handle it,etc etc etc.  I have a freind who is arguing with me when I tell him MS is losing alot on the Xbox,and I would just like to know the total $ losses so far.  Also,if you know what MS had predicted for losses,post that to.  Ill need a link also,since my freind wont beleive forum goers

Didnt read the whole thread..but noticed quite a bit of online gaming bashing going on.

Why do some of you guys HATE online gaming? Not only hate it,alot of you dont want it even available in games.

Let me clear a few things up....

Rumor: If a game has online play the single play experience sucks
Answer: FALSE, some of my favorite solo games have been multi as well,it has nothing to do with having multi in a game,it has to do with whoever is developing it.

Rumor: Internet gaming is a fad
Answer:Internet gaming has been around for a long time,and is only continuing to grow.  How could it be a fad?  The internet is constantly growing and why wouldnt people want to play with other people rather than an AI sometimes?  On the contrary,I am going to take the opposite stance and say that its set to explode into the mainstream.  It may be small( not even that small) now,but have you noticed its all anyone talks about anymore and the Xbox + PS2 are using it as one of their main selling points + PC games have been selling tons soley for online features for a long time.

Rumornline gaming is expensive
Answer:The bulk of online games are FREE.  The kind of games that cost you money are games that require you to play on a permanent server hosted by a company.  You must understand also,that $10 a month is VERY cheap for unlimited use.  I cant really think of cheaper forms of entertainment,infact, if your like me and spend most your gaming time in a single game for $10 a month, online gaming can end up cheaper than solo gaming.

Rumor: The Macarena is dead
Answer: What?! I still do my daily Macarena every morning

  I have well over a thousand hours (prolly more like thousands) of online gaming logged + I work at an ISP and understand just how quick server costs add up.  I have atleast a fairly good idea of what im talking about.

How do you go about getting gold medals in Medal of Honor:Frontline?

My dad has earned them on some of the levels,but some,no matter how high his accuracy or health he still cant seem to get it.  I watched him play the level where you are with 2 other soldiers and gotta take out tanks, he ended up with 78% accuracy, every enemy killed (atleast that we saw) + full health at level end.  He got a bronze...how the heck?  He didnt get nearly this good on some of the other levels that he got gold on.
