Nintendo Gaming / RE: A Problem with my cube
« on: December 08, 2003, 08:56:17 AM »
Ok well it's working better now but i still get that screen every now and then. I played ssb with my friends last night for a good hour or so and it played fine. I brought mario kart yesterday. First time played it with my friends it went fine (Really fun game by the way) But today i can't get it to work. I keep getting that screen.I tried to play blitz today also but i got that screen. I'm guessing it's the lens. Maybe it;s jus dirty.Maybe i'll trade in my cube to EB after christmas and get a brand new one witht he zelda disk! Shouldn't cost no more then 30$ more after the trade in credit right?? O and do you need the original gamecube box to trade it in?? I got my cube 2 years ago for christmas. I don't have the box anymore. Lol. Thanks!!

Nintendo Gaming / A Problem with my cube
« on: December 06, 2003, 05:24:22 AM »
Ok so i haven't played my cube in about 3 months. I try to play it today and all my games get the "disk can't be read" screen. There was a little dust inside the cube. I got a wet cloth(Justa little water not dripping wet) And got the dust out and dried it up right after, I made sure i didn't touch the lens or anything like that." Anyway when i try to play ssb i can play 1 round and then when the round is over and it trys to go back to the select screen i get the "disc can't be read" screen. When i try to play 007 it gets to the mgm screen and then get that screen of death. A couple other games will load for a few seconds and then get that screen. Could it be cause i haven't played my cube in while?? Is the lens dirty?? Is there a gamecube lens cleaner?? I can't use a regualr cd cleaner since it can't fit.

Nintendo Gaming / Pokemon RPG Confirmed (Sort Of)

In Pokemon colosseum it will have a rpg mode called secnario mode. You will play as "super keel" A member from team snatch and can battle and the steal(capture) other trainers pokemon. Then you cn put the pokemon you steal in ruby/sapphire. Also the trainers in secnario mode will have the old pokemon. So now it's confirmed how you get the old pokemon into ruby/saphhire. No deatils if it will have towns or gym battles or leagues yet or if it will be online. The website do have some screen shots. Looks like i'm going to be dusting off the cube com december (A little eariler got to get mario kart fzero and sonic heroes)

Nintendo Gaming / Pokemon R/S/?
« on: March 18, 2003, 12:57:45 PM »
I recently beat Sapphire. It felt too short for me. I mean the loss of  184 of the old pokemon. Not including Johto and Kanto and no side quest after the Elite 4.(Not including catching Rayquaza and the regis I caught those too) It just felt so short. Although i could understand nintendo's reason for not wanting to add those in. I guess they wanted a fresh start for pokemon and this is what ruby and sapphire is. I mean a lot of posts i saw on message boards people were saying that they didn't even want to use any of the new pokemon and just wanted mewtwo. I'm not like that i actually have a new favorite pokemon and thats blaziken. But i would have liked to be able to catch a cubone and a dratini. And i would have liked to be able to travel to Johto and Kanto. Anyway I decided to shark some of the old pokemon. Also there is a gameshark code that enables the Natoinal Pokedex. That version of the pokedex have the old pokemon dex entries starting with bulbasaur being #001 Chikroita #152 Treeko being #252 and Rayqaza being #384. There are 386 pokemon in total. There have been talk over at the gamefaqs board that Johto and Kanto will be able to be played by the gamecube version. Johto and Kanto can be made into the gamecube version and you upload your data from R/S on the gba and play Johto and Kanto in full 3d on the gamecube. I do believe that some kind of way Johto and Kanto will be able to be played because Johto and Kanto are mentioned in Ruby And Shappire. But there have to be someway that you can get the old pokemon as there are pokedex entries there and there is someway you get the national pokedex upgrade Legally. I don't see a nintendo event for  184 pokemon and i don't think the e-reader is the answer either i don't see nintendo making us buy  184 trading cards for the pokemon. And to prove my point that the old pokemon will be able to be caught later on is that there are 2 new unowns a ! one and a ? one but unowns are one of the 184 pokemon that can't be caught. I am almost certain that the Gamecube Game will have some part in it. I just hate how nintendo is doing this and taking our money. All well Until then i will be playing with my current team. Blaziken Maraowak Dragonite Medicham Absol and Kyrgoue

Yea i heard about some magazine confiming that the gamecube game will somehow get you the old pokemon Even though i'm not really sure. I just don't know how they would do it. I mean will you just be able to download them from the game into the gba. Also all 386 pokemon have pokedex entries.

General Gaming / Kingdom Hearts: anyone else think this game sucks?
« on: February 18, 2003, 02:38:10 PM »
I for one loved this game. I agree about the camera but overall this is a great game. The ending was really good and it was fun to see all of the famous disney characters. I didn't think a disney game would be good but this was a great game. Also if you saw the speical ending you can't wait for the sequel. Also if you ever get the chance watch the special secret ending in kingdom hearts final mix. It leaves so many unanswered question about the sequel.

Well i have beaten ruby 3 times already. The reason why red/blue was so addivtive was because it was the first time you played a game like that. There was nothing like it anywhere. Now yellow comes out and it bascially follows the tv show. The gold and silver comes out and pokemon gets even bigger. Now r/s comes out and it only have 65 of the old pokemon from r/b/g/s and 135 new ones. There are 202 catchable pokemon in r/s but there are 386 pokemon. Actually all 386 pokemon are programmed in the game. Most people think that only 202 pokemon are in the game. Well thats wrong. Lots of codes are out for all the old pokemon and a patch have been made for the ruby rom to have all 386 pokemon programemed to be caught in the wild. Check out the pokemon r/s boards at gamefaqs. Also there is a gameshark code to trigger the pokedex upgrade to include all the old pokemon in the pokedex. Before i used that code when i caught a pokemon say pidgey for ex in the wild after i catch it the pokedex info would come up but it would not save in the pokedex. There is another mode in the pokedex that haves to be unlocked somehow to include all the old pokemon, The gameshark unlocks that function. But i want to know how to do it legally. Anyway all 386 pokemon are in this game. Johto and Kanto are not in this game and only 1 world is Houen. Well this post really had nothing to do with the topic all well.
