Nintendo Gaming / RE:Zoonami officially announces their first title...
« on: April 24, 2004, 11:08:14 AM »
Opeth, Fear Factory... yeah... they would be good inclusions... We are not that lucky though.

I think this game might suck..... Where the hell is "Game Zero"?

2
They own the rights to the N64 Goldeneye... not "Goldeneye 2" (Which will be an entirely different game).

Through Game Designer Studios... we will get another Final Fantasy....... eventually. (Hopefully... it will be a single player RPG)

Nintendo Gaming / RE:idea for next mario kart
« on: November 24, 2003, 04:39:20 AM »
Well.... instead of another Mario Kart, I would like to see a "Smash Kart", with all of the other Nintendo characters in use.

In this case... I would much rather play a game that I know to be incredible, then one that just has potential.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:METROID PRIME 2
« on: October 31, 2003, 06:34:30 AM »
Oh absolutely! I know what you mean. I haven't gotten Metroid Fusion yet, I did love Super Metroid though! One of the greatest games ever.

I would like to see more cutscenes. That was my only complaint with Metroid Prime. The Map was excellent! The musical score.... outstanding! The gameplay... wonderful! I just wish they would've done a little more.... It was an excellent transition, I agree with you PIAC. Not bad for an American, Texas based developer, huh?

Retro did the Metroid series justice in 3d. I would like to see how far they could push the Metroid dynasty forward.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Metroid Prime - any recomendations?
« on: October 21, 2003, 03:56:38 PM »
Metroid Prime was/is an unbelievably polished game. It is highly recommended. I consider myself a hardcore Metroid series fan, and I think it's wonderful.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Potential Rebel Strike issue...
« on: October 21, 2003, 03:48:37 PM »
My copy (EB) doesn't have any of those problems. My copy of Rogue Leader has the same major skip everyone else was referring too, but then again, I'm not that far in Rebel Strike yet.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Final Fantasy VII Sequel? looks like it could be
« on: October 20, 2003, 06:02:19 PM »
Do you really think that Nintendo has a shot at any possible Final Fantasy VII sequel? I don't think that we will. We'll be stuck with Final Fantasy "wanna be's" for a while.

We'll probably not even get another Final Fantasy game on the Gamecube, unless it's Final Fantasy :Crystal Chronicles 2.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:GAMECUBE sales quadruple!!
« on: October 02, 2003, 03:40:53 PM »
It's good to see Nintendo being a little more agressive as of late. However, why didn't Nintendo release any numbers on this "quadruple" thing?

Nintendo is going to have to make HUGE changes to suceed in the next generation.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Miyamoto and Mikami interview
« on: August 04, 2003, 05:24:03 PM »
Oh, and in this same interview, Miyamoto says "You'll definitely be playing it (Metroid Prime 2) next year"
He also goes onto to say the next Gamecube Zelda "...will not have a realistic Link. At least, not the next one"

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Miyamoto and Mikami interview
« on: August 04, 2003, 05:14:48 PM »
I think this whole "french interview" thing is a slight misinterpretation. It sounds awfully similar to what Miyamoto said in this month's EGM.

A few lines from the interview

EGM: And you're also using bigger Japanese developers, such as Sega, Capcom, and Namco.

S.M. That's also why, with some of the larger developers, we find people we can entrust our franchise characters to. Namco's now making a Star Fox game. Mr.Nagoshi {head of the Sega development studio Amusement Vision} is working on F-Zero. And acutually, Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami at Capcom came to us and said he wanted to work on Nintendo titles. Sonic creator Yuki Naka has done the same. So really, we're focusing on this idea of finding creative and talented designers to put together a strong lineup for the GameCube.

I don't think that there's any "Groundbreaking, Earthshattering Megaton" games in development that we don't know about. Did that make any sense?

Nintendo Gaming / Baten Kaitos
« on: July 21, 2003, 02:32:09 PM »
Well to me it seems to be a Final Fantasy game in name only. Not much of a story, connectivety, no experience, mission based, no summons? Doesn't sound like a "Final Fantasy" game to me. Tthat's why I'm getting TOS, and Baten Kaitos. I want story, I want single player, there's plenty of multiplayer games out there. FF:CC just looks like a "suped" up Gauntlet with out the exp points.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I think that Final Fantasy VII is the best....

On the other hand, I'm really looking forward to Baten Kaitos, and Tales of Phantasia.

Anyone else not looking forward to FF:CC?

Nintendo Gaming / More E3 News Here!!!!!!
« on: February 24, 2003, 01:20:10 PM »
It's still way to early to be getting ourselves hyped up for things that might never happen. Realistically, I don't think Nintendo's showing is gonna blow anyone away at this years E3. Could Too Human do it? Yes, will it be shown? probably not. So, let's cut the E3 rumors for a couple of months, anything could happen between now and then. Rick's right about making E3 predictions, and about Nintendo not having all of it's own plans figured out for what it has in store for this years E3.

Nintendo Gaming / wavebird?
« on: February 18, 2003, 06:08:12 PM »
The Wavebird is the best controller I've ever held in my hands. I don't know how I ever played without it. No wires, no restrictions. My batteries have lasted a long time, and I play frequently. I've used the Wavebird from about 40 feet away and it works flawlessly. If you can get over the lack of rumble (which I don't even miss anymore), go out and immediately buy this controller.

Yes, it is made by Nintendo.

Nintendo Gaming / Metroid Prime 2
« on: February 06, 2003, 09:02:09 PM »
Next Metroid Game Wish List:

1. Expanded cutscenes.
2. Longer gameplay time.
3. Addition of Multiplayer. Not during regular game. No coop, or counterop play!
4. Expanded world(s) as well.
5. More weapons, preferably ones that shoot small, cylyndrical, metallic, fast moving objects.
6. Musical score similiar to Metroid Prime.

I love you Retro Studios. Thank you for Metroid Prime.

Nintendo Gaming / Skies of Arcadia - best GC RPG
« on: February 02, 2003, 08:17:01 PM »
Considering that there are no other decent (single player) RPGs on the GCN, I would say that Skies of Arcadia is a must buy. I still haven't bought Lost Kingdoms, I'm kinda waiting for the sequel. I enjoyed the Dreamcast version of SoA, and I can't wait for the next one (If it ever comes out.) It's not easy being an RPG Nintendo fan. I have no high expectations for FF:CC, I kind of expect it to suck. I don't like the idea of changing the formula so much. SoA is the RPG for me, at least for now.

Nintendo Gaming / GameCube's Appeal to the Teen Audience
« on: February 01, 2003, 03:59:13 PM »
Well...... the way other people see Nintendo, is that Nintendo is kiddy. I took my Gamecube to some college apartments the other day, and it was amazing at the response I got about it. Everyone said it sucked...... until I showed them RE, RE0, MP, SFA, Mario Sunshine, ED. Everyone one of them was floored. They never heard of any of them. All they talk about is PS2 this, Xbox that.
