Nintendo Gaming / My mom is going to steal my Gamecube.
« on: March 02, 2003, 06:42:33 AM »
I'm a dad, though my only kid right now is 2. But i know that when they get old enough, if they want a console, there will be one for them and one for me. Hee hee hee!! But I stay up every night until 2am either working or playing so I'd have plenty of game time after they were asleep. Again, hee hee hee!!

Nintendo Gaming / Does the rest of your family play the cube?
« on: March 02, 2003, 06:00:52 AM »
Before we bouth an N64, my wife and I would rent it just to play Mario 64. We finally bought the N64 and the game and played it till we finished. We take turns playing the same game, its a great way to spend time with your loved one. Then we played Donkey Kong, and we played The New Tetris a lot. Now on the GameCube, we play Animal Crossing like fiends. I keep trying to get her into playing another game, but she hasn't gotten excited about playing anything else yet. But my wife and I play a lot. I'm waiting for my daughter to be old enough to play.

TalkBack / Network Play in Pikmin 2?

"In the 3rd pic, you can see the D-pad is being used. It seems to me that it is used to switch between the 2 characters, just like in RE0."

I can see that as a possiblity. the only thing that makes me question this possiblity is that the colors on the D-pad are red and yellow. Where does the yellow come from? Neither spacemen are yellow, and neither are the Pikmin following them. Guess we'll wait and see. Still you could be on the right track.

On a related note, I can't make out what the icon is above and below the D-pad. The icons that precede the "x 5." Anyone have any thoughts?

Nintendo Gaming / I am a 31 year old new GC owner
« on: February 23, 2003, 08:06:15 AM »
Oh man! Just like me. I'm 26 with a 2 year old girl. I love playing games. I can stay up later than my wife and kid so I play into the wee hours nonstop (can't wait till I can play with others online!). And I can't wait for my daughter to be old enough so we can play together. My wife likes some games but is very picky so I can't play many with her.

But yeah, at 26, the GC is the only console I own and I'll always have one. I keep telling my wife that when I'm old I won't mind if I'm put in a retirement home so long as I have a few things: movies to watch, computer, and the latest Nintendo console. Play on!
