Yea...just gameplay, story, controls, dungeons, imagitive bosses...ya know, stuff like that.  Graphically, it might be easier to create the characters, but animating them and making the land of Hyrule into a place that these realistic characters would look natural in requires alot more thought and effort.

In an interview with IGN Nintendo just said it was easier to make.  Plus they already had experience with OoT.  The engine is still very similar to what was created with OoT.  I also remember long before the GCN launched that it was easy to develop for.  So whats new that they have to do?  The best I can think of is that when they create an area for Link to adventure is that they have to think of a story off that area rather than Square making up a story and creating an area built for it.

Punchout DS

This would work with two thumbstraps.

You lay two thumbs on the bottom screen and move them to move.  You maybe then apply pressure to hit or use the L/R buttons to hit.  It would work exactly like Mocap boxing but better.

Yeah I had some dude from EA talk to us at my college about a job in making video games.  I know its rough but I still have the passion to do it.

General Gaming / RE: Microsoft to release three versions of Xbox 2

I don't really think this is a big flop.

The xbox2pc could have a huger audience than console only gamers.  Why?  You might have some PC gamers combined with the many xbox gamers.  The least expensive version...  Well you know I haven't heard any bad news about FFXI on the PS2.

My dream machine would be Revolution/Phantom/DISC.

I didn't say GTA sucks.  I'm more accepting of xbox and gcn fanboys.  I find it hard to hate a gcn fanboy since its hard for them to fight back especially with a gcn.

Or we can wait until we see what technology can do.

I don't remember the last time I brought over a harddrive to a friends house just to play a PC game.  Hence why online can be important.  Although a console is different giving the three options to save a game would really be nice.

harddrive - it could be removable if someone finds a way to attack it or you don't want to get rid of data.
mem card - only for the purpose of going to a friend's house and hanging out with him to play games
disc cartridge - just brings back the ease of saving a game

Also why have DVD playback?  You already have BRD.  You might as well add VHS if you plan to add DVD playback.

Ok maybe your "New Age" definition.  Although I don't know how you would explain a person who likes xbox and gamecube but is angry that Tecmo creates games for a non-japanese console and not on a system like gamecube.

LOL.. Perfect dark 0 wont even be out for xbox.. most likely xbox 2.  I agree that Rare is a slow company.. ive been a rare fan since back in the days.

I do like that microsoft bought out Rare tho.  Cause now i get to play conkers bad fur day online with 16 players.  Halo2 comes out on tuesday and it has a demo of the new conkers remake.  I cant wait to try it.

Also.. perfect dark 0 would be much better on the xbox with the online play and all.. but since RARE is a slow company.. and pd0 wont be out for like 3-4 more years.. I dont know which system is better to have it on cause we dont know which of the systems (revolution or xbox next) will have the better/ more advanced options for online play.

Now they have a reason to go back.  DS and free online.

I view fanboy being somewhat different.  You can still like the other competitor stuff but support the one you love the most.  Fanboyism is ok its just that its stupid when you're a fanboy like Ian said.  Its like the GTA games I have a problem when a person thinks it kicks ass because you can run over women.  Well I don't have a problem when someone understands the concept of why this game is awesome.  The former needs to be hit in the head and be told that just because you have to ability to run over bitches doesn't mean it will be fun.

The reason to get BRD over DVD is the same as getting an HDTV, Plasma, or LCD TV over the regular TV.  I don't know what the different between the three TVs are but watching the Jay Leno show on one of them looks more fantastic than The Lord of the Rings DVD I think.  The only disadvantage I see with the BRD is cost.  HD-DVD already already makes it possible to take advantage of the three TVs but thats it.  I can't think of any disadvantage other than a TV being made that the HD-DVD won't be able to take advantage of or the BRD kicking its ass.

It would be cool if Nintendo creates a Cartridge that holds a load that developers will be more than happy of.  That would be a Revolution.

If Nintendo does go online with the Rev (they better or its handheld only for them) I see Konami using this to create an awesome Para Para Paradise game with it.

Either way can happen but I see it getting better.  Nintendo needs to apply to the Rev as they did with the DS.  Nintendo did say that the Rev will really be something and that the DS is a taste of it.

Most games are made for the KB&M.  Gamepad should only be used for console style games and there are more supporting the KB&M

I really don't care what Nintendo uses just as long as it has a little more than enough for most developers to be happy with.  It matters more for Sony and MS since they will both be having machines that play movies on these new software formats.  It matters more because if Blu-Ray wins everybody at first will have to buy a PS3 to watch Blu-Ray movies and then you combine that with the huge amount of people who own a PS2 and its the same with HD-DVD for Xbox2.

Also could someone tell me if Blu-Ray movies could work on my DVD player?  DVDs are still recent to me and now they become old like VHS already?

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Idea for a DS game

That would be awesome.  One charismatic party member could use his skills to talk his way through things in a corrupted but rich city and gain money, experience, etc.  Then another party member could fight goblins attacking a peaceful village and get rare loot from the goblin bodies.  Finally they would join up, share riches, get more powerful and teamwork to fight against the main enemy of the game.  The seperation could be for multiple sidequests.

General Chat / RE: Stupid Adware Ruining Life
« on: October 14, 2004, 09:42:36 AM »
I used to have that problem but now I have like 7 different portections for it.

Norton Anti-Virus seems to catch them occasionally.

Windows XP update.

SpyGuard
Spyware Blaster

Those two just acts as shields.

Spybot
Ad-Aware

Scans and gets rid of it.

SBC Yahoo DSL pop-up blocker.  It doesn't block every pop-up but with some protection I only get like pop-ups on some sites like only once unless I leave the site and come back again.

Why do I have so many?

Well Spybot, Ad-Aware, SpyGuard, and Spyware Blaster I found were recommened on some helpful yahoo article and I'm really thankful I have these 4 dudes.

The others are obvious with the pop-up blocker just being there so why not?

With square-enix releasing 6 games on the DS and only a 1 hour FF movie the problem a possible $350 seems much bigger than it is.
