The lucha-inspired Metroid-style platformer is coming soon!

Guacamelee: Super Turbo Championship Edition, the well-received previously PC/PlayStation exclusive, is coming to the Wii U.



Developed by Drinkbox, this edition of Guacamelee will include all DLC from previous versions of the game in one package as well as expand the story with new levels and boss battles. The playable characters in the game will also be able to obtain new abilities.



There is no current release date for the game. Guacamelee originally came out PlayStation 3 and Vita in April 2013. This is the first game on a Nintendo platform from the team at Drinkbox Studios.

Shantae and the Pirate's Curse, the 3DS eShop title previously set for launch by the end of March, is pushed back a few months for some finishing touches.



Providing a update, developer WayForward revealed that "[the game] will be in development for a couple more months while we add a few finishing touches. Almost there!"



Shantae and the Pirate's Curse is set for release in Q2 2014, meaning it should come out by the end of June at the latest.

Batman: Arkham Knight, the latest in the Arkham game series, will not be making its way to the Wii U.



Revealed today by Game Informer, Batman: Arkham Knight will be coming to PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 later this year, but will be skipping the Wii U despite getting a port of Arkham City and Arkham Origins over the past two years.



In April, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - Deluxe Edition, a port of last fall's 3DS game, will be coming to the Wii U eShop.



We have reached out to Warner Bros. for a comment on the state of the Batman Arkham games on Wii U.

Retro Studios has begun work on their next project.



Speaking with gaming website GameSpot, Nintendo producer Kensuke Tanabe stated that the studio, developers of the recent Donkey Kong Country games, Mario Kart 7, and the Metroid Prime series, has begun work on their next project. While this project has been in development for the last few months, Tanabe would not comment further on the specifics of the game.



Shigeru Miyamoto speculated last year about the possibility of Retro Studios working on a Metroid or Zelda game, singling them out as a "high-priority" studio.

Razor Global Domination Pro Tour, a new game from Mutant Mudds developer Renegade Kid, is coming to Wii U in 2015.





The developer is partnering with Scarab Entertainment and Razor USA to develop a video game based on the popular scooters. Beyond being able to preform tricks on the scooter, the player will also be able to customize their scooter as well as obtain special upgrades that will allow the player to increase their speed and gain extra airtime.





Renegade Kid is currently also working on Moon Chronicles, an episodic 3DS remake of their DS game Moon, the platformer Treasurenauts, and Mutant Mudds 2. Scarab Entertainment was founded by ex-Sony/Acclaim/Interplay employees in 2012. Renegade Kid's Jools Watsham is listed as Creative Partner on the company's website.



Razor Global Domination will be heading to the Wii U console next year, as well as Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - Deluxe Edition has been announced for the Wii U.



Originally released for the Nintendo 3DS in October 2013, the game will now see an HD, digital-only release for the Wii U and other systems in North America on April 1 for $19.99, and in Europe on April 2 for £15.99.



The HD edition will bring a number of minor changes, including a new map and hint system that helps the player track objectives and navigate more easily, improved 2.5-D graphics, and a fully voiced narrative. When you register for a Warner Bros. ID account, you'll also be able to unlock the exclusive Zero Year Batsuit.

Index Corporation, parent company of developer Atlus, will be split into two groups following restructuring  after being purchased by Sega Sammy Holdings. The first company will be known as Atlus, which will have 121 employees who will focus entirely on game development. The second company, known as Index Corporation, will work on advertising and distribution, and be comprised of 166 people.



Atlus is developing the upcoming Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem crossover Wii U game teased last year in a Nintendo Direct.

The Nintendo 3DS is currently outpacing Game Boy Advance sales in Japan.



Media Create, a Japanese sales tracker, reports that in its 154th week the Nintendo 3DS has sold around 15 million units. This is up from sales of the Game Boy Advance, which were at 11.64 million units at week 154.



Despite the Nintendo 3DS's success, is still far away from reaching Nintendo DS sales, however. The 3DS's predecessor sold 20.16 million units by its 154th week.

Deveolped by Level-5, the rythym-based RPG will have you competiing in blacksmith type mini games. It's created by Yoshiyuki Hirari, a well known actor in Japan. It will be the final game in Level-5's Guild[01] project.

Bayonetta 2 will be out this summer in Japan and later in 2014 in North America and Europe.

A new trailer was shown at the end of today's Nintendo Direct highlighted in-game action sequences. Nintendo President Satoru Iwata noted that she will hold guns on both her hands as well as her legs. He also detailed Witch Time mode, as well as the Umbram Climax mode, which unleashes a flurry of energy when initiated.

One of the surprises shown in today's Nintendo Direct was the announcement of a North American release of Rusty's Real Deal Baseball for the 3DS eShop. Known as Darumeshi Sports-ten in Japan, Rusty's Real Deal Baseball has you participating in a multitude of baseball minigames. 

Some of these minigames will need to be purchased with real-world currency in order to play them. However, a interesting feature of the game will allow you to haggle with Rusty himself, in order to buy these minigames for a cheaper price. 

Rusty's Real Deal Baseball will launch in April for the Nintendo 3DS.

Kirby Triple Deluxe will launch on May 2 in North America and May 16 in Europe.

Featured in today's Nintendo Direct, the catching horn ability was shown in detail. There are a number of collectables as well, such as keychains that will help you progress in the game. The keychains can be obtained via the StreetPass feature in the 3DS. Those who use the StreetPass feature will also be able to obtain items from people they come across who also have the game.

This is the official reveal, at least in Japan. I think there are two others that were found via hacking but haven't been introduced yet.

Like other event Pokemon I would probably expect it to be distributed around the time the movie is released in Japan, then again here in the US when they dub it over.

Donkey Kong Jr., Pictobits, Punch-Out!! (NES), and Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars are this month's Club Nintendo digital game rewards.

Both Donkey Kong Jr. and Pictobits are available for 150 Coins each and are redeemable through the 3DS eShop. Punch-Out!! (NES) is 200 Coins and can be download onto Wii U platforms through the eShop. Finally, Super Mario RPG, also 200 Coins, is downloadable through the Wii Shop Channel on Wii U, via Wii Mode, or through the same shop on traditional Wii consoles.

The physical copies of the Nintendo 3DS game Rune Factory 4 are in short supply in North America.

"We've received quite a few inquiries asking about Rune Factory 4 since it's been difficult to find in stores in North America. Don't worry! It's just been selling well beyond our expectations, so we're working as quickly as possible to restock physical copies" publisher XSEED said on their official Facebook page.

Released in October, Rune Factory 4 is the final game developed by Neverland, who is also the developer of the Lufia RPG series. They closed doors in November, a month after the game was released in North America.

Mother Brain from the Metroid video game series has been revealed as an assist trophy in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. sequels for both the Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS. 

"Pic of the day. Housed within the Control Capsule! Protected by Rinkas! Eyeball armed with a Laser Brain Attack!! The massive Assist Trophy Mother Brain joins the collection!!" Masahiro Sakurai revealed today via his Miiverse Director's Room alongside a picture of Mother Brain blasting Samus with a laser beam attack.  

Mother Brain is best remembered as the main boss of both the original Metroid for the NES as well as Super Metroid for the Super Nintendo. Previously, she had only appeared as a sticker in Super Smash Bros. Brawl for Wii.

In Chrono Trigger you had to do a certain event in order to unlock the New Game + option once you beat the game. I lazed out and just beat Lavos and skipped that part of the game because i didn't feel like battling a bunch of enemies. I sorta regret that now because I didn't experience any of the other endings.
