Last week was really hectic, and though we were able to bring you two episodes during the show, we still had a whole lot more to cover. So this week we went back and gathered news that might have been overshadowed by Nintendo's press conference.

Afterwards, we went ahead and discussed our best and worst of this year, as well as what we think of the show as a whole compared to last year, and our projections of what to expect in 2008. You don't want to miss this one.

Apologies for the mic blow noises.  I don't know why it was so bad this week.  I'll try to fix that for next time.

You know I was liking it at first but now VG . . . I feel it's just a watered down sorry excuse for an RPG.

I didn't listen to the show yet catching up on the forums first but yeah I don't feel like playing through PM anymore.

Edit: about 10 minutes in so far, this is a really good show so far guys. Ratatouille discussion was hilarious.

Getting to the paper mario discussion: I completely agree with it feels like the "my first RPG statement".

It's TOO dumbed down. I thought the game would pick up but . . . just wayyyyyy too dumbed down for my tastes.

Also . . . if Smash Bros. ISN'T online I expect riots to occur. I'll take a 2 player online mode but if NO online mode hits Smash Bros. it'll be one of the worst disservice's to do to a game.

I be more worried about the world segmentation in MP3.

I don't think the isolation will be gone.  I think that it will still be there.  You can feel alone in a room full of people.  It just be a different kind of isolation.

Wait.  If he has no so he's devil proof.

w00t. I just played Second Opinion on the Wii.  I liked the story up to where it ended on the DS I wasn't to fond of the stuff after that Gameplay wise.

...and managed by a monkey.

I don't know about the Spielburg games...

I don't think EA would need the celebrity for that sort of game.

His Dad was a Comp Sci...

Also the cars are toured.  They should race the Smart 4 2 in something. lol

LEDs instead of stones.  Actually this reminds of how Spore, the game that shalt be finished, is suppose to have a way to order models of your in games characters.

It shows a kinder fuzzier Sony.  lol.

Its MS-PR04 Beta.

I played the demo of Resistance: Fall of Man.  Yeah... I hate Dual analog.  I'm assuming Call of Duty uses that scheme.

Yeah what about Kenya?

The online stuff was terrible.

Pokemon Battle Revolution bad bad bad.

That is true.  I got a PS3 and I'm really liking being able to play demos and watch trailers of games.

I know.  E3 is a hardcore event more then anything else and they should have focussed on that side.

As mentioned if Brawl isn't online people will physically go to Redmond and lynch Reggie and co because its to expensive to fly to Japan.

BWii.  Why oh Why was it not in the Press conference.

They don't need it.  I mean Nintendo didn't need to flesh it out like that.  The 3rd parties didn't need the bump.

Yeah.  Most developers are playing catch up.  Why Nintendo mastered it.

They should go to someplace less naturally crowded like Nashville.

Lol massive props, his amazing rendition brought back memories of playing "Balloon Kid" on GB. Interesting that they each had the same theme song (never played the original for NES).

Edit: Oh and all around excellent show this time around guys =)

Props to Karl to finally getting around to finishing the Shrek and Narato reviews.  No one read either of them.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

Jonny seemed to be in full blown rant and moan mode. Spielberg is a tool!

A creative mind such as Spielberg isn't allowed to come up with a puzzle game such as "PQRS", but some random citizen of Russia is allowed to create Tetris?

I'm sure Spielberg had a hand in the game design.

This week's podcast was pretty much a rant and moan crybaby fest.  Steven was pretty good, though.  Mike just seemed like he hung around in the background for most of it.  Maybe it was his volume, I don't know.  :P

Overall, I thought E3 was pretty good.  Nintendo had the best conference (minus the "aren't we so great?" video montages), Wii Fit was loved by those at the show, and they just keep garnering more and more attention.  E3 helped them out even more (not that they need it now).  :P

Hey, at least Evan wasn't on this week's episode.  :P  I kid, Evan.  I kid.  *highfive*

Wow... you guys have convinced me that MP: H sucks...

Karl has no soul. But it's true that the original is better than it's sequels. BUT KARL HAS NO SOUL! DIE INFIDEL! MY first RPG?!?!?! HOW DARE YOU?!?! DO YOU HATE KIRBY?!?!?! AHNFWSJNFWSNSndlNlNdjlNDLJWSNn LNdlSANmdsjlnJLdnsl

First Johnny, then Karl, what is happening to all you people becoming EVIL?!?!?

Great Balloon fight rendition. ::thumbs up:: Do it next show!!!

Oh god, I can't wait till you guys get to talk about Rockstar's Wii support with Bully and all that!

...PLEASE LET ME WIN THAT HOT TOPIC! /cry

Trauma Center 2 has voice-acting? There goes the gameplay...(referring to a previous podcast comment)

A donut game?!?!? What?!?!? Gimme a link! Why are you talking about this and not PREVIEWING IT WITH SCREENIES?!? Oh.. ok. I can't wait!!

Yup, I've heard of Orcs and Elves. Cool. An RTS? Cool!

How DARE you guys hate on Steven Spielberg's creative freedom! He's not alloowed to play with blocks? History of work?!?!?! WE'VE ALL PLAYED WITH BLOCKS!?!?!? How DARE you pidgeon hole him, how DARE you set limits on creativity, how DARE you think you're somehow ENTITLED to saw what he CAn and CANNOT create!!! ANger! ULTIMATE ANGER!!! You... you people are... anger anger anger! John Tucker must DIE!!!

...though with the producer slant I can sorta see what you're saying... still, utter fanboi hate is aimed in your direction.... what were we talking about again?

Okay... WHO made the Wookie noise?

Huh? RE 5 trailer was good? I... It didn't show ANYTHING!!! It was like.. it wasn't even a trailer. It was a teaser! That's just hype talking when you think it looks awesome.

Yeah, that MGS4 Raiden fight WAS exciting... I was sorta tense when watching it, but it is true that it was still just footage... the best thing about it was that they explained a lot of the story, and really told us how they'd set the stage for the game's conflicts... real cool.

Yes. Wii Fit was cool! Ah, but what's with the Reggie hate? You forgot about MoH 32 player online! Though Reggie should've also mentioned that a ton of EA games would have online too. And yeah... nothing on Smash Bros.... they needed to tighten up that section more, because they HAVE a lot more online stuff they could've showed off if they wanted.

WAIT a second! If Mario is for EVERYBODY... then Nintendo has NEVER been made games for the hardcore gamer!!!

Ahhh!!! Stop talking about SSBB not being online! /scared

Yeah, they had games to show, but they didn't show them. This is true. And they showed third party games for the Wii Zapper. and the MoH game will have a dedicated light-run rail game meant for the zapper in addition to regular style of play.

A glooming peace this morning with it brings;
The sun, for sorrow, will not show his head:
Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things;
Some shall be pardon'd, and some punished:
For never was a story of more woe
Than this of Sega and her Mashiro.

Which school is this term paper for, again?

It's no big deal, you'll just have life-long regrets.
