Only for Club Nintendo members as some kind of reward.

10 coins on no US release in the next month, please.

What's the benefit in betting before the final day of the month?  Why shouldn't I choose to wait until the last day to bet my coins?  If I did, then I'd know for certain whether or not the game had been announced for a US release.

Not really, you don't move all that fast with the Raccoon Suit. A player running would be able to keep up (at least in most levels). I don't see them doing that though.

Except Nintendo could redesign the cape and Tanooki abilities to make the game a little more functionable with four players.  Slow them down, make them more vertical, just about anything.

How would that matter?  Speed isn't the problem, it's the whole flying thing.  As soon as the ground scrolls off the screen then everyone without the ability to fly is toast.  Unless they do a whole Harmony of Assets thing and just let the view zoom out as far as necessary.  ;D
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

It's a good thing no one in New Super Mario Bros. Wii could ever independently gain the propeller hat, I suppose.

If you go back and read developer interviews for NSMB Wii, you'll see them talk about how the reason the propellor suit works the way it does is to avoid that problem, and how that's the reason they didn't include a traditional flight powerup.

Well, obviously (and I didn't put this in the first post, but it's a "duh") - but the round ends within one month of the posting of the odds or as soon as the announcement is made.  If the announcement is made, say, tomorrow and you weren't planning on betting in the next week, then you're SOL.  Of course, if you're betting on no US release, then there's no benefit to not wait.

Ill put
3  - Super Mario All-Stars for Wii is announced for a US release in disc form within the next month and will not include any extras.
2 - Super Mario All-Stars for Wii is announced for a US release in the next month and will include the snazzy artbook but not the soundtrack.

How many coins do we start with, 10?

If so I'll bet 3 on each of these:

3:1 - Super Mario All-Stars for Wii is not announced for a US release in the next month.
3:1 - Super Mario All-Stars for Wii is announced for a US release in disc form within the next month and will not include any extras.
20:1 - Super Mario All-Stars for Wii is announced for a US release in the next month and is a limited Club Nintendo item (either exclusive download or physical disc via mail-order).

Last coin saved for next round.

This is not about a US release date, but thought you guys would be interested in what Nintendo "will" be bringing to the US.

Nice! Can't wait for it. Is that a Club reward or an actual retail release?

It's a retail release. Play Asia already has a listing for it too.

Makes me glad I held out on the VC versions. Though I did get the VC version of Lost Levels.

I'm confused.  Has this been announced for the U.S. or not?  If not I put another 5 on "won't be announced" :P

Are people with 0 coins now out since they have no more coins to bet? I am glad I bet 1 coin on no release being announced so I at least won some coins back.

After the round is over, you get to total up your coins (honor system) and will be allowed to use them (in addition to the additional ten coins) in the next round.
