In all seriousness, though, this is kinda a stupid distribution event for this, and I won't be getting an Eon Ticket most likely because Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire is the first main line pokemon RPG I am making the active effort to not purchase. Unless there are some REALLY Good Move Tutors/hidden Battle Frontier funtimes, I really don't feel like doing a Gen 6.5 game at this time.
My frustrations of course will fall on deaf ears thanks to myself not even registering as a financial blip upon Gamefreak's radar. I do not have the power to change this dark trend. Gamefreak has been riding upon the slipperiest slope with for quite some time now. it namely started with Platinum version introducing Skymin and Giratina-O. I think I lived with these changes, as they were OP changes to Pokemon I didn't care to use at the time. It also wasn't the era of DLC and post-release support we live in today. Here we are, with 18 confirmed Mega Evolutions being exclusively featured in what seems to be a game that ditches a few of the more fun additions to Pokemon X and Y to reintroduce contests that I personally have never met a person who gives a **** about those, and a new flight mechanic that would excite me more if it wasn't just a hoenn only thing that is very much going to go away by the next game.
The real kicker here is that in spite of running on identical, chuggy, unoptimized engines, ORAS is going to feature Generation 2 style restricted trades and battles with a game that it supposedly shares a generation with, all because they refuse to put in a content patch to Pokemon X and Y. X and Y, which has a lot of strange, hanging loose ends (the Easter island statue thingie key item, the ghost girl, various other little hints at content not there, Mega Latios and Latias being in the coding for X and Y) and a complete lack of content post-game content. I'm not asking for the new Mega Stones to be obtainable within X or Y versions, but I'd like to at least be able to battle with opponents who could use them, or be able to send the stones to X and Y so I can battle with my customized trainer instead of being stuck with Sock-head or May. Did I mention that Brendan's new design really bothers the heck out of me? because it does.
