Episode 108: The Tire Bounces On
« on: May 17, 2012, 01:02:20 AM »

Zach and TYP prepare for E3 with some wholesome Radio Trivia!

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/radiotrivia/30179

Did you like this episode's game selections? Let your fellow listeners know in TalkBack! Think you've got a better choice? Then send it my way and your request might be on the next episode of Radio Trivia: Podcast Edition!  Heck, throw in a question and specific songs if you want.  Just remember, it has to be a game found on a Nintendo system in North America (unless we say otherwise)!

I had the same problem with Okami on Wii, and gave up playing after a couple hours.  I may try Okamiden, but it sounds like it had it's own problems, so it's not high on my list.

Just wanted to say thank you and I love you!  I ran out of podcasts this week and you made a new episode of my favorite one!  This was my first podcast and it's the reason I went to RFN, and now giantbomcast and some others, but this one is the one that started it all and it's still my favorite, so thank you again!

2. You forgot to mention that there's a Japanese version of this game (minus the Domino's license). It was actually on an episode of Game Center CX. It'd be funny if it came over as an import VC title.

Wow, I didn't know that about Game 2, yoshi1001! I guess I shouldn't be too surprised.

To geo and roy: I hope this episode doesn't disappoint!

And of course, it doesn't! :) I enjoyed the music and the commentary as always.

So, this was a bad episode for me to try and guess why games were used. I've never played games #1 through 4!

I should've been able to guess the series when game #3 showed up (Okamiden). I was thinking Muramasa at first, but I knew that game had already been done before. I haven't played Okamiden, but I did finish Okami on the Wii. I was not thinking much, heh.

Game #5 (NSMB Wii) was a cinch, of course, being the big Mario fan I am (and that a lot of us are!). Even though the music is not as memorable as some of the classic Mario stuff, I still find it quite charming.

Game #2 and #4, the NES games, were interesting to hear about. Wow, Noid has some epic music indeed.

Zach is right.  The whole chipmunk sound that they keep reusing throughout the entire New Super Mario Bros series is really annoying.  This is one of the only Mario game series where I've actually hated a lot of the music, mostly because of the obsession with reusing that sound.
