Topic: Mafia XXVIII: Sonic The Hedgehog. Day 3. Casino Night Zone.

Lying in the grass, Shadow the Hedgehog came back to consciousness. "I can't... die here... What a dream," he muttered, "Shadow the Hedgehog. Why does that name haunt me? It's the only thing I can remember. And that gruesome image..."

Hearing a ruckus, Shadow walked over to a group of animals all standing by a pit of lava. They had surrounded Dr. Robotnik (Mr. Jack to his friends)and were accusing him of being responsible for the death of Gumbouzzo the Giraffe.

"He's always trying to hurt us and turn us into his robot creations," shouted one of the animals.

"I hate his moustache," shouted another animal.

"I hate fat people," shouted the slow animal.

"Silence! I am Dr. Ivo Robotnik, the greatest scientific genius in the world!" Dr. Robotnik cried out. Turning to the crowd, he yelled, "Dummies, dummies, dummies, dummies! None of you have the right suspect." Seeing Shadow, Dr. Robotnik cried out, "Ah Shadow. Say hi, and be friends."

"I'm Shadow... the Hedgehog. I was created to bring order and justice to the humans," he began to realize.

"Ah very good. Then no doubt you will be able to help out in a little pickle I find myself in. These people have a disagreement with me. Uhh, Shadow, I have a revalation. Everyone thought you died during that horrible incident... but I rescued you with one of my robots... you lost your memory that's all... You wouldn't hurt a friend would you?"

The other animals began to argue. That's not true. Who let Shadow in charge? In every game he appears in, he always screws up. Listen to me not him.

Getting upset, Shadow yelled out,"I'm Shadow the Hedgehog... no one can tell me what to do!"

"That's right, Shadow," Dr. Robotnik laughed.

"I am Shadow the Hedgehog. I and only I know what is best. No one can tell me what to do. This is WHO I AM!"

"Alright, calm down," Robotnik cautioned.

Suddenly, Shadow lapsed into an insane giggle, followed by an insane chuckle, as images flashed through his mind. "The pieces are all coming together now... it's clear what must be done. (turns around sharply) Doctor! You're going straight to the place you created me from!"

"This is madness!" Robotnik cried out.

"THIS IS TRUE!" Shadow yelled back. Then he kicked Dr. Robotnik off the edge of the pit into the boiling lava.

"Goodbye, Doctor! Death to all who oppose me!" Shadow cried out. Then he saw the Yellow Chaos Emerald that Dr. Robotnik had dropped. That meant Dr. Robotnik was the killer.

"A Chaos Emerald?! You've got to be kidding me, guys! This is like taking candy from a baby, which is fine by me," Shadow said excitedly, "Aw snap. Where's that damn fourth Chaos Emerald?" With that, Shadow wandered off.

The rest of the animals stood in silent shock and wondered about the state of Shadow's mental health. Needless to say, they stood there a long time.

That night, the Genesis mafia was getting edgy. Two days and there were still as many characters as when this game started. They needed to start taking out some of the lamer characters. That's when they settled on Golden "Tikal" Phoenix. Tikal had only appeared in one game and was just cluttering up the Sonic universe. Who would miss her?

So, they broke into her home only to find Tikal waiting for them. "I've been expecting you. I can sense your negative energy?"

"You're the hussy that activated the Chaos Control last night," one of the mafia members realized, "We lost our hit because of you. Where's that Chaos Emerald?"

"The 7 Emeralds are the servers. Chaos is power, enriched by the heart. The controller serves to unify the chaos.," Tikal explained.

"Huh?"

"Uh... The 7 Emeralds can change our thoughts into power. If this Emerald controls that power..." Tikal said, realizing her words just weren't getting through to the mafia, "How can I make you understand? All this fighting, stealing, and killing, can't be the right path to peace."

"Right. She's an extremist. Kill her now," the godfather ordered. The goons carried out the order and Tikal was whacked by the Genesis Mafia.



Narrator: Seriously. Would it kill you to choose someone else? Well, maybe it would in the game but gah! The Day 2 curse continues. And now back to your previously scheduled story.


Meanwhile, Sonic was getting antsy. "Who's game is this anyways? It says Sonic the Hedgehog mafia, not Shadow the Hedgehog mafia. People only like him because he found the killer. Well, I found a clue to."

With that, Sonic read his clue:

Dear townies,

no ­matter what t­h­at­g­u­y says or does, don't trust him.  He claims to be a townie, but I have no way of knowing for s­u­re­­­­­­­­.

Love Townie Spokesman

The animals were stunned at this clue.

"C'mon. It means we have to go to the Casino Night Zone," Sonic yelled.

"How does that make any sen..." an animal asked but was cut off.

"It doesn't matter. It's just part of the story," Sonic answered and then raced off.



Day 3 begins now.

Yes I did lie about using the Chaos Control.  I have informed Vudu and thatguy about it yesterday.  I was TRYING to protect Golden Phoenix.  She never lasts long in these games. 

I told her, thatguy, and Vudu that I was acting bold and arrogant to try to protect townies.  Hopefully you will understand.

I wish I knew who all knew GP's role though.

I didn't see it in the story, so I thought the mafia didn't make a hit.

Really, what?  Who would kill GP?  She gets killed every game.  Every game, she gets killed.  I'm sick of it.  Spak and I were trying to keep her from going into public eye so she wouldn't get killed.

The initial post was just "Announcments". The usual placeholder. The 12:38 edit is when all the information was added at once.

I made it clear in the story that I feel bad for GP also. I'd like to comment on the hit but I feel it best not to interfere with the game at this time. However, if you remember, ask me at the end of the mafia in the wrap-up thread my thoughts, and I'll give you my spin on it.

Right, I just wanted to establish that my smile was from the "Don't trust thatguy" statement, not that GP died.  I didn't realize she died until right before I posted about it.

Edit:  Vudu better not have set her up.  He better not have.  I don't care how useful she was, this didn't need to happen.  He could've gotten me, or Spak, or anyone else, the town spokesman or whatever, I don't care.  Any of them would have worked.  Every game, it's ridiculous.

The truth doesn't always make perfect logical sense...you can believe me or not...but I have 3 people that can backup my story.  One is dead, One a confirmed townie...and One I am not sure about. 

But I am beginning to wonder why you are trying so hard to incriminate me so early in the day without hearing from Vudu or knowing what his plan is.  I will admit I don't know the plan...and I don't want to know.

Actually, let's be fair.  Most players thought Vudu would be voted out for the same reason why Spak didn't want her to reveal herself.  She was one of the two townies who definitely was a townie at the point.  And she was a secret.  Spak and I knew she had the Chaos Control role, but if we wanted to, either of us, we could have had her wait to use her ability and killed her on night one.  Plain and simple.  Then, the killer would have gotten a hit, the mafia wouldn't miss any hits, and there'd be one less role.  Spak told me that she was the Chaos Control, too.  He didn't need to.  In fact, if anything, as much as I hate to admit it, that puts doubt on me, not Spak.  If he was the one, or one of the ones that did that to her, then she wouldn't have used her ability and she would have died the first night.

Wha-??? You outright lied in the Day 2 thread, and it made no sense to do so! And now you're attacking me for calling you on it and perhaps costing GP her life? How does this make any sense at all??? Worst yet, I HAVEN'T EVEN VOTED FOR YOU YET. I'm giving you a chance to explain yourself, and you just lash out.

Part of the reason I'm upset is because GP and I had been in contact since before the game began. Once it started, she told me her role, and I said I'd do what I could to keep her in the game as long as possible. I'm mad partly because I basically failed her.

But this attack now? You have absolutely no ground to stand on, Spak. Explain yourself, or take the votes you'll get.

Edit: And don't even get me started on what role you may have had to play in this, thatguy. As far as I can tell, whether it be intentional or not, you both got GP killed.
