Anywho SSBM is one of my favorite games of all times, and Id love to see how SSBM is handled on the DS

Imagine being able to draw/create your own character, which you would use to fight the Nintendo crew.

Now imagine being able to draw/create your own move. That would make multiplayer so sweet, and competitions infinitely replayble.

Guitar Smasher, you sound like you have no idea how much work it takes to create a character like that. With professional tools you're looking at a week minimum, with less capable tools (I don't think they're giving you a 3d Studio MAX level app on the DS) the time increases and the output quality suffers.

i don't think it would be that hard, seriously. They could just let you redisign an already programmed character.

They could just use some of the wire frame characters, and some pre-programed moves, let the player make the combination they like best. It might be cool, but I think they should stick with nintendo characters.

It's not really that surprising... cool yes, but surprising? hardly. Smash Bros is a huge success on GCN, DS will try and push multiplayer hard right? well they can't do that without awesomely fun games, like Smash Bros.

Can both screens be 2D? Thats something i dont know... but it would be cool, if the stages would appear on both screens, and you could jump from one screen up to the seccond screen to continue fighting...

It would definetly be one of my most wanted games though... Especially if Nintendo gives them some new characters as well... I wouldnt mind Wario..

bleh i don't want anything crazy with this smash bros, just give me lots of chars, levels, weapon, and options, also beef up everything that is multiplayer! Gimme all kinds of stats, tournaments, and what not. Make it all wireless and maybe even leave the possibility to play online.

Either way it will be awesome, i am sad that the combat system will suffer a bit because the amount and complexity of the moves wil be toned down since there is no analog stick gah! I do think they will have something special planned that will make it unique and fun though.

Yeah, my family's big on SSBM, so I'm eager for whatever comes. No doubt Nintendo will throw something in there that will make the game better than the last.
