Carmine's AIM Account Hacked

I've received word that staffer Carmine Red's AIM account has been hacked, and that whoever hijacked the account is contacting people on his buddy list and asking for money.

IF YOU RECEIVE AN AIM MESSAGE FROM CARMINE ASKING FOR MONEY, FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY DO NOT GIVE THIS PERSON MONEY.

If anything, try to pull some information out of them, or get some information about them (IP, for example) out of your AIM logs if you can.  You could also see if you can get a physical address or email address out of them.

This is terrible news :(

It was likely hacked because he was using some shareware IM program that was cheaply made or something.  Seems like a Kairon thing to do :p

Well, after my efforts to resolve this via fraudulent transaction claims processing, I learned to there no protection against this sort of activity, and I'm out of $200.

I did think it was Carmine.  Carmine's done some favors for me so I would gladly help him out.

But it's not about my LOSS, it's about JUSTICE.  I hope the email-harvesting internet bots do some nice things to that imposterito's account.
